125,000 miles on the old girl, so I'm working my way from back to front servicing every component required. Final drive now has new oil seals because it was seeping a bit on the high speed-for long periods riding out west. All rear suspension points have been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and lubed. The bearings, bolts and spacers are all still in excellent condition because I've done this every year of the bike's life. Same for the shift and brake pedals. I'm also taking care of corrosion I'm finding along the way, including the center stand. The salt is brutal on that poor thing. New piston and seals in the rear brake caliper. I'm up to the engine, as can be seen in the picture. Last winter I removed the starter and checked the front oil seal and flushed the carbon dust out of it, which bought me another 25k miles, but it's getting weak again, so it's time to go. New starter will go in today, then I can put the throttle bodies and air box back on, after I check the valve clearances and install new plugs. New throttle cables will last me the rest of this bike's life. Then all that's left is clutch and brake fluid change, steering bearings, fork oil change, fresh coolant and putting Humpty Dumpty back together.3 points

If you really need a CPAP it's all yours Actually, since I've lost so much weight my dependence on a CPAP is minimal. On the last trip I had to sleep several nights without it and my wife said I was breathing just fine. No snoring or apnea episodes that she could discern. So, on motorcycle road trips I might leave that sucker behind because it takes up so much room.2 points

I have insurance, so I will never shoot anyone over a motorcycle. I have a CCW, so I usually have it on my person when buying things on Craigslist. Dumb people do dumb things, and people tend to get what they deserve.1 point

I'm a Dovi fan, but I really hope Jorge has the same trouble Rossi had with Ducati. Never liked Lorenzo or Pedro, for that matter. I see Marquez continuing to develope into an extremely mature and unbeatable rider. I'll still cheer #46 first though. Us old guys have to support each other.1 point

Possibly a hole in the fuel map causing your "miss" then. I have the OBDII to USB cable to connect up to the bike. I'll loan it to you if you have a laptop and download TuneECU. Or, possibly by the time you're back I may have it downloaded myself and can come by to help you out. Haven't seen your new place yet, so may as well come by anyway1 point

I lane split when necessary but that isn't that often because we don't have the traffic problems that the west coast has. It would be nice if it were legal but we're still working on getting them to legalize ear plugs while riding, lol The illegality of it is not really much of an issue imo: 1. Cops usually stay away from clogged highways except when there's a wreck. 2. We don't have many motorcycle cops & any cop in a car in a traffic jam is probably going to be helpless to give chase as you can't split lanes in a car & if they decide to go John Wayne & run the berm they can't get across several lanes of backed up traffic in a hurry like a bike, even with the flashy lights. 3. If you are not squidding it when you split most cops are not going to bother with the hassle of even trying to pull you over. There are other threads on here that discuss this issue until you get sick of reading them. Welcome to Ohio Fin.1 point
