  1. All these jackets and pants with the removable liners and layer in a perfect word sound great. But my issue with them is I don't like to stop and you know how it usually works out. Your rolling along it looks like rain so your like do i stop? Can I make it to the next gas station before it rains? Maybe I should have put the liner in the last stop...No, it was too hot and I'd be sweating balls right now. So you think you can make it a while longer so you don't stop. Then it starts to rain but you think, "i'm only 2 miles from where I was going to stop". So you roll, then i begins to pour. Now you soaked already so your like "fuck it. i'm already wet" Then you have the thoughts of "If i'm not going to use it, why the fuck did i buy this jacket with the liners?"Or the story goes the other way, you did stop on the side of the road to put in the liner but it didn't rain. But now your wet anyway from sweating balls because most zip out liners are not breathable. That's why I say even though it might be a tad warmer on hot days the built in non removable breathable liners are the way to go. Gortex is usually the best but the off brand stuff works pretty damn good too. When I'm rolling and it starts to rain usually only have to reach over and zip closed a couple of shoulder and or chest vents. If it's really hot and i'm rocking my mesh I don't even care if it rains. I always have a fast drying shirt on underneath and it's very refreshing on a hot summer day, it will dry in no time.

  3. Yeah, but that's all behind me. I only smoke legal substances, now. It may not be legal in Ohio, but it's legal somewhere.

  12. Nah bro, no offense taken whatsoever....and I'm not taking a stance on trailering, I'm just pro choice is all. For the little extra it costs us to trailer down and back, we feel it's worth it. And some might agree, where others don't - that's the luxury of a free country. I dig all you folks, all the same.

  13. Didn’t mean to make it sound like you do dumb stuff down there. Not my intention as I know you, and that’s just not how you roll lol. Just speaking I general about other people. We’ll see as the time gets closer. I pinged my boss since my offer letter said two weeks vacation so of course I asked him, is that a work week, or a full week. He said work week .

  14. Never do anything dumb down there, but then again....it's not always simply a riders choice to NOT crash, things happen.....but to each their own in that respect

  15. Had the dream situation my first Gap trip. Rode down, trailed back with @what while our bikes did buttstuff on his trailer. I have the "right" machine in my arsenal now to do that trip like an adult, not like some asshole kid on a super sport with soft bags. Time off is my concern, 1 day trip down vs. 2 day trip down. Riding down on the slab is pretty much out of the question, unless I get a throttle lock, and even then.... I know that @Pauly and I can make good time on the back roads.

  19. Edited previous post to say VOM check for ohms continuity across disconnected battery leads. Obvious to me, but needs to be said out loud. Sometimes a vehicle circuit will have something that puts a constant drain on the battery. Like the clock in the dash. Pull fuses one at a time to see where something leaks to ground. (Or pull all and try one at a time.) I once found my "leak" was one of the three diodes in the alternator had gone bad and shorted to ground. Bought diode trio and rebuilt the alternator.
