Scott, I couldn't agree more. It is well-known that wind causes hearing damage to riders. It might have been a good idea to have presented politicians with medical studies documenting this, but it appears that those involved cared little about changing/amending the law. This certainly will not stop me from using ear plugs when riding. I never hit the road without them. Ridiculous.
Something so simple, so bilaterally agreed upon, and even it got fuxored as a way to nudge colleagues into supporting a tax increase until it was stripped from the final bill like a used up hooker.
Politicians suck. Government sucks.
I have totaled two street bikes, with that I was put on high risk insurance for three years which is $. Not worth letting someone else put you close to or in that bracket for a few extra dollars.
I have wrecked two demo bikes at manufactures events and I wasn't the only one wrecking at those events. Again, not worth the extra money for the risk. Manufactures can afford the loss way more than the rest of us.
With all that said it sounds like I probably can't ride a bike but I'd venture to guess that any of my regular riding buddies would swap bikes with me knowing that I would do what it takes to make the situation right should an unfortunate event take place.
I would suggest a bike like mine but I don't know your budget for a hooligan two up bike.
On second thought never mind. While you might be able to handle it because of riding dirt bikes you could never handle it safely with a passenger because midget.
Test run finally made it here. A tree fell on my buddy's house so he was sort of dealing with that. These look to be identical to the OG ones. I'll be sure to have a stack at the meat and greet.
