  1. I think it is pretty well known around here that I carry a gun and will shoot anyone that tries to pair their Sena to mine.

  2. If you aren't willing to pass in corners on 250, then you just aren't going to get anywhere. The entire road is a corner. That said, all of my passes were well within the reasonable limits of illegal passing...if that even comes close to sounding sane. The last one was bad, but it wasn't terrible. I was more ashamed of scaring the drivers than I was afraid for my safety. I got excited and made a bad call. I corrected my behavior and went back to appropriately passing like an adult should. The only real OSM was on WV-7. We were getting down and I rounded a right hand bend that straightened just as a tractor/trailer was being escorted across the road to a parking area on the other side. I laid into the front brakes and the bike stopped right now. Traction control and ABS are legit as fuck. I am a believer as of that incident. The "Safety Pack" saved my Bologna.

  3. Oh, and I dropped it in a parking lot today. First time. No damage, and shocked how easy it is to pick up. Did it by myself with very little effort.

  5. To answer your original question, everyone knows the route, or at least the way to the next stop. Except Tony. And we wait at each turn. Comms are not needed.

  6. Do you really want to hear these posts while you ride?

  8. I’m cheap. No communications here . I play my music via earbuds in my helmet and that’s it. I have a car gps (told you I was cheap) mounted to my upper triple for navigation.

  9. Been using a uclear and Sena for years and the only time I link up is on week trips with my buddy Ford in case of ohh shit moment. In for years and 6 or so big trips we actually connected one time. However they are awesome for tunes, gps directions, and not missing an important call.

  10. My only “motorcycle related purchase” remorse is getting sena thinking OR uses it. Well most have sena but no one wants to be linked up lol

  11. Haha the passes were crazy lol total hooliganism. I was literally expecting cops at the end of 250 waiting for us with hand cuffs 🤣 To be honest there is no other way to do 250 I think without those passes. The group size and experience was perfect for this ride and pace. Hopefully one more of these before winter hits us. reminded me of old Mach retard rides. Paul and Jinu used to do this, pass and jinu like a shadow right behind. Same thing you and durk were doing today. At first I could see from behind skinny gear in head working like “should I ... should I not “ after few secs, ..... wild side switched on 😆

  13. My Schuberth has Sena built in, but I use it for navigation and tunes..and sparingly. I do not communicate with other riders via electronics. I find that to be a distraction. Everyone I ride with is going the same direction I am and usually at the same pace. If I need to talk to someone, it can wait until the next stop. Plus, I spend time working shit out in my helmet. Rides are literal therapy for me. Nobody needs to hear what I have to say.

Where the eagles cryOn a mountain high Love lift us up where we de-grom.Far from the world belowUp where the clear winds blow Some hang on to used to be Live their lives looking behind All we have is here and now All our lives, out there to find The road is long There are mountains in our way But we climb a step every day Love lift us up where we de-grom.

  17. I covered about 1400 miles total. Saturday was about 480 miles of relentless curves. That might be the best day I've had on 2 wheels. WV has so many amazing motorcycle roads. Many are in areas with little population which means traffic is light and LEOs are basically non-existent. There's a great mix of tight/technical & fast/flowing. btw, I'm loving the Ninja 400. It doesn't have quite the pure sportbike capability of my old 1125R or CBR600RR...but it's not as far off as you might think. Riding it is all about momentum. Luckily I can chuck it into corners at speeds I couldn't on the VFR1200. It only has 44 rwhp, but the gearing is spot on & I can use 100% of what's there. Passing cars was never a problem. The only times I I felt limited by power was on corner exit in a few sections where the pace got particularly hot. I had to get a little "creative" to keep that Hyperstrada from waking away on corner exit. Pound for pound it might be the most fun motorcycle I've owned 👍
