  1. Hello CR! My name is Ryan, I've been in to cars my entire life. Learned from my dad and been improving ever since. My first car was an 86 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z, I had it torn apart and put back together before I could legally drive. Sold it and drive my dads 79 Mustang (ugly as sin but ways ran) while I rebuilt an 82 Camaro I picked up and had for a few years and sold after high school (8mpg just didnt cut it...). 5 years ago my friend got me into DSM's. I picked up a 92 Talon Tsi awd for $400 needed a windshield and had a miss (previous owner had installed a n/t engine to be able to drive it). Found a windshield, fixed the miss and 3mo later I turbo'd it. Ran that engine hard at 14psi and no intercooler for a year and never gave me a bit of trouble! Built a 6bolt, still running the 14b, and just waiting on the day I can bolt on the holset I have for it. Picked up a 91 Talon Tsi awd for my wife recently, so clean you could eat off the underside! Needs engine work but I'll get something together for her. I've built 3 other dsm's, another one soon for a local guy and countless old chevy's, always gotta have a project! I dd my talon, she does good, full 3" exhaust, 6puck clutch, 2nd gear is junk (gotta love used transmissions....), 17's, cams, forged internals. Just put on gc's and new struts, first time this thing has had good suspension since before I owned it! Paint is bad but the body is solid and I am planning on painting her if I have time next year. http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y497/EVILDSM/IMAG0050_zps655279b9.jpg http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y497/EVILDSM/2012-10-03_12-47-15_883_zps7b2d7ce8.jpg

  3. I thought he did well. I like his answers. He doesnt need definite plans of actions like Obama kept saying. He has his goals and will work with both parties to develop a plan or leave it up to the state and private sector.... Makes sense to me.

  5. Today, Wednesday, October 3rd 2012, I rode the Dream Ride that is coming up this Saturday, October 6th. I left the meet up place this afternoon. It was a bit chilly so I put the liner in my riding jacket. Under my jacket I wore only a tee-shirt. I should have put on my riding pants over my blue jeans and taken a sweat shirt with me, but I didn't. As the sun was going down I was wishing I had. One small "hitch in the giddyup" is that within the first five miles of the route there is a bridge out. I've messaged NinjaDoc about that and offered an easy work-around that will keep us off of Rt. 16. You can say it's a little shortcut. He said he's fixing that for us. Something to know is, as I was returning to the East Main Street meet-up place at the end of my ride, the Newark Police had set up radar across the street from where we start out and down the street where we will begin our short "bridge out" detour. So, as you approach our starting point, be on your toes and be aware the speed is 35 MPH through there. Another place to be cautious is, as Rt 668 meets Rt 22, where we make a right turn and go up the hill into Somerset, off to the right I have seen a cop pulled off on our side of the road but facing us as we approach. It a 35 MPH zone there too. In Somerset, the route continues through the "town square" through a Round-A-Bout or a traffic circle, if you prefer. Traffic to the right has the right of way here, so don't just go zooming through. You may have to pause or stop, to let other traffic into the circle. This location is where the "loop" portion of our ride begins and ends. We will return on the south side of the square and turn east, to the right when we come back. Go into the traffic circle and out the other side. Rt 668 turns left one block after the square onto S. Market St. Be ready for it. It can sneak up on you before you know it. The "loop" portion of our trip has fine roads, well marked, some freshly paved, and patches here and there. There are twisties marked 15 MPH that are hidden just beyond your sight. Being alert to signs indicating curves ahead and suggested speeds for those curves will help to keep your bike shiney and dent free. Though I've only been riding since April, I pushed the threshold today and once almost missed a sharp curve to the right, pushing me into the left lane and almost straight off the road. I'm glad no traffic was coming from the other direction. I did return home a much more experienced rider and improved my riding skills nicely on this trip. The ride north out of Malta, along the Muskingum River on Rt 669 was especially enjoyable. Pillion riders (2-Up Navigators) will have plenty to appreciate as scenic vistas present themselves in numerous ways along the by-way. I highly suggest that Co-pilots mount GoPro's so that we can enjoy more than just a pilot's perspective when we go to view our Dream Ride 2012 adventures on YouTube in the following snowy months ahead. Other than nearly skidding off the road, my ride was uneventful. I didn't see any cops. I didn't have any problems with rednecks. There was very little traffic. The leaves are turning their colors and looking quite nice, not yet reaching their peak of color. Watch for leaves on the road as they begin to fall and make for a slippery surface. Leaf-watching tourists will be flocking to the Hocking Hills area to enjoy the fall colors, especially on the weekends. They may not be watching for you, so you be watching for them. Another reminder is that where roads may be dry on the hilltops, in the valley where little sunlight shines through, a road wet in the morning may easily remain wet all day. I noticed this today and just wanted to point it out. My return ended riding west into a colorful sunset back to our starting point. It was a fun day, one I wish I could have shared. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I and the weather outlook will improve. For now, the current forecast for New Lexington, Ohio 43764, as near the geographical center of our trip as I can estimate, for Saturday is: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. ~ Jack ~ :biker: .

  7. My name is Alex and I'm living between Columbus and Athens (College). I'm currently driving a 2003 Nissan Sentra Spec V. It's got a long list of mods but it's fully bolted and cammed at the moment. It's sunburst yellow with 17x7.5 gramlights. bought it with orange stockers if any of you have seen it around columbus before. Keeping my eye out for a cheap b13 sentra for an sr20det swap else the Spec will be getting a turbo kit. My syndicate kustomz CF hood has been taken off and put back to stocked because vents in a hood are stupid in Ohio. Had to replace my alternator in my friend's lawn because of it. http://i49.tinypic.com/30a3wvt.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/2117w47.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2lucbi1.jpg

  8. It was already modded And it was a definite upgrade from the Toyota Matrix XR in terms of performance. And keep in mind I'm a 20 year old college student haha. I had strict parental rules that I had to follow when purchasing this car because they cover the insurance. If I didn't, I'd have purchased the s2000 duh!

  11. My name is Kelvin and I just moved into the area from Cincinnati. I daily drive a POS 2001 Eclipse 2.4l. My fun car is my 2002 IS300 turbo . I have had it five years and it was stock as a rock when I picked it up. I have not had in on the road in about two years due to other projects and finishing up with school. Last time it ran it made about 400 on the stock twins until turbo number two got smoked. The car is very close to being back together I just have to send my injectors out to boost lab and get my new exhaust made before she is back on the street. http://i557.photobucket.com/albums/ss14/2slo3oh/GTE%20Swap/stlife.jpg?t=1285784563 http://i557.photobucket.com/albums/ss14/2slo3oh/GTE%20Swap/IMAG0166.jpg?t=1271394322 I will have to dig up some more pictures from last time she was together I am also in the middle of gte swapping a mkiv supra that I owned about a year ago and is now a friends car

  16. Ad hominem attacks now too? You're losing credibility by the post. Just so you know, since business success is your key indicator for presidential success: Likewise presidents with little or no business success: You made a good point. You have "Faith" and that's really what a vote for Romney is. He has give zero details of how to actually make any of his promises come to fruition. Paul Ryan actually said the "...math would take too long to explain". When you don't have any substance on which to make your decision it must be based on a feeling, some visceral response. Maybe that "faith" module would have been in the other half of a brain I don't have.

  17. Obama kept using his time to complain about Romney not giving details, instead of giving details of his own.

  19. Romney understands business, money and taxes so much more than Obama...that showed a lot. I like him more now than before. The government can't control everything. There are not enough tax dollars for that.

  22. Mission accomplished! After she read the card she was like "awww babe that's so sweet". Then when she opened the bag and pulled out the sponges the look on her face was priceless. The next words out of her mouth were "O you motherfucker". Hahaha! We had a laugh and I still had a gift card for her to a book store. Seems that she has changed my name to asshole for the time being. I'm going to be on my toes come Christmas and my birthday though.
