  2. This has been in the works for a few months as anyone who knows me already knows. Since my company was polite enough to tell me back in mid 2011 that I would be losing my job, and then proceeded to drag things out for over 2 years, I have been able to put away enough cash to prepare for a rainy day. But in time plans went from bracing for the worst to preparing for the best. So at this point I'm unemployed, ready for a new adventure, and intentionally homeless. My girlfriend and I have decided to pool our savings, buy a truck and a toy hauler, and hit the road. We're going to tour around the country (and maybe Canada too) and see all the places we always wanted on an opened ended road trip. I'm bringing my three motorcycles, bicycles, and hiking gear, and touring national parks, doing motorcycle tours, trackdays, seeing concerts, and touring microbreweries and distilleries. We have a blog going that anyone on OR is willing to follow along, the address is http://jimandangelatravel.wordpress.com/2013/07/03/hello/ I'll post more up as things progress.

  9. Ive got a funny one. There's an app u can get on android phones called prank dialer. It's free but u have to listen to a 30 second add and it limits ur call to 120 seconds or so. U can call another # & make it so that on their persons caller ID screen any # shows up. So I called my 1 supervisor at work with the other supervisors # @ 2am - and they both work @ 6am. He answered and I started making this noise like I was jacking off into the phone, then hung up. The next day at work they were bother arguing "man u called me last night and hung up on me, sounded like u were masturbating or fucking ur gf or somehting" the other dude deny's it obviously. So he shows him his cell - proving it was his # calling him. The other would say that maybe he butt dialed him or something? lol I did this about once every month for almost 2 years straight - I'd be dying inside laughing my ass off the next day at work when they both argued haha.

  12. My Daytona 600 is up for sale again. The buddy I sold it to needs a new car so $3000 is the asking price. Full disclosure, it may need a new stator. It has a new battery, tires, brakes, plugs, and a bunch of other random addons.

  16. Ive had it happen as well. Once was actually by my buddy who was with his friend and decided to play a trick on me. Unfortunately my mom was in town for that exchange. It started off with hey man, Im calling you about my money. and basically went down the path of you owe so and so and he owes me so now you ow me type of thing. After a few min of trying to explain they had the wrong number calmly, they started in on Im gonna show up at your house and rattled off my full name and actual address. At this point I was pretty confused and tried again letting them know they had the wrong person. they kept going getting more and more threatening about coming over. This went on for a bit until I basically snapped with something along the lines of Ive told you 3 times now youve got the wrong person, if you show up at my house, you'll be leaving in a F'ing bag do you hear me asswhole. My mom was a bit in shock to say the least. At that point. I hear roaring laughter on the other end of the phone and Im like WTF. Thats when my buddy decides to speak up and give up the gig. What a dick...

  19. Well, they should cover the windscreen or redesign it to avoid that. We had a similar issue with the Multis and we covered it under warranty and then updated the design and it hasn't happened again. Whatever... I don't really give two shits. All I am saying is that it shouldn't happen. The design and placement of the dash should avoid this issue. Some people have these bikes outside all the time and travel a ton in areas where the sun is hard core like Arizona, etc. If a common problem, it needs fixed. If a spotty issue, cover under warranty. Easy. In adding an aftermarket windscreen, I understand that the idea is that it has been changed and thus, cannot be covered. But, if a strong relationship is developed with a dealership, they can get it handled under good will. Happens all the time and companies take care of things that are not always covered. Hence the importance of relationships... Again, do whatever. But a 2012 with that few of miles shouldn't have a melted dash.

  21. Air Compressor hut attached outside. Some are loud and annoying. Large roof overhang the length of the garage and as wide as a car with concrete. Kinda like a porch.

  22. Max- Yes, it's heavy. Thanks for following! Madcat- That sucks about the blowout. Glad it didn't turn into an incident. I do have a spare for the trailer. I also got a bottle jack to lift the axle. I didn't get that till we got into New Hampshire and I was terrified at the thought of flatting out and not being able to change it. Per your advice I will look into getting a second spare. Just uploaded another update. I have more to type up which I will do my best to get done tonight. I have some work to do to the truck this morning, and that'll be an update in itself.

  27. Take it to another dealer. That windscreen issue is able to be warrantied. Push harder and they will. We've seen that on other bikes and it gets handled...

  36. Finished up my second track day at Mid-Ohio! :happyanim: Saturday was wet and painful to take the wet line. I only got 1 semi-dry run on Saturday. Sunday was wonderful. Mid 70s, and track was starting to rubber in again. Considering this was my first time on a completely dry track (last year I had wet and semi-dry sessions), it was actually fun to push the car. Car gripped amazing I started in HPDE 1, moved up to HPDE 2. Instructor told me I could easily go into HPDE 3 if I was comfortable, but I may take a couple more track days before I make that move. We will see. Here is my 4th and final session at Mid-Ohio. My first Solo run as well. I may post up my 3rd session where I was walking through HPDE 2 cars...we will see The session was cut a bit short due to a race group that got all tangled up before HPDE 3/4 & 1/2 went out. I also have a friend running w/a Spec E30 in Time Trials. I'll have to get that video up as well. Comments and tips appreciated. I'm still new to the track game. It looks like I'll need track pads now. I was tearing up the HP+s, but surprisingly they held up.
