  1. Hi Everyone, My name is Gautam, yup just like the city.. I have a Nissan 300zx twin turbo that I bought off my younger brother less than a year ago and am currently restoring it. Its pretty much stock other than air filter and being over boosted. My brother loved it but also abused the crap out of it. It could use a bunch of stuff, but has a blown head that could be more once I get into it. I moved to Cbus 17 years ago to go to OSU for Engineering but am originally from NW Ohio. Currently I'm an engineer at Honda and have always worked on my own cars (Honda, BMW and Hyundai) but this will be a very big challenge for me and will definitely push me out of my comfort zone as i've never actually gotten into an engine let alone worked on turbo's. I am a single parent and have two boys 3 and 7 that I spend a lot of time with. I also homebrew a little and am a active member of SODZ, the Columbus homebrew club. Im looking to get the Z's engine fixed and then redo the interior as well as paint the car. I want to use the car as a fun car and maybe take it to the track and also try autocrossing it, but am looking for people with more experience with turbos and Nissan's to help me restore it successfully. http://i.imgur.com/yZCl6xa.jpg?1

  2. Tonik was talking about institutionalized poverty. Not racism. I think institutionalized racism is bullshit too, just wanted to clarify.

  3. Also I don't buy into the whole institutionalized thing. They know what a job is. they know what the law is. They choose not to get a job and they choose to be thugs and criminals.

  4. I've got a better idea instead of putting emergency responders in harms way Pull them all out. Let the assholes loot and riot and burn all their shit down and build a wall around it and keep them caged in like the animals they are acting like. Boom instant cheap prison

  5. Hey, what's up my fellow riders! It's been a while since I've been on the forum due to life throwing wonderful curve balls at me which caused me to because fairly inactive on most forums. I thought it was appropriate to reintroduce myself! So with out further ado- What up! My name is Isaac. Had my fair share of a couple different bikes, trying to find the most comfortable one for me and I landed back with a 2008 Daytona 675. Love it! If you see a blue daytona out and about with a guy in a black dainese leather onesie and a colorful helmet, holler and lets go for a ride. Or a track day. Hope to see you guys out there and as always, be safe out there! -Isaac

  6. Been safe at BWI for the past 5 hours. No desire to wander outside the airport. The people doing all the harm were criminals before Gray, and will be criminals after. Legitimate protests need to be organized ASAP.

  7. What the rioters in Baltimore have done is what is referred to in the military as "shittin' in your own mess kit"…. It just doesn't make a lot of sense. There is definitely a problem--perhaps a growing problem, or perhaps just greater transparency as a result of the ready access for 90% of the world to instant media--of heavy handed police enforcement ever since 9/11 and the establishment of the DoHS. As someone stated earlier, I sure as hell don't want the job but that doesn't give the one sworn into the position carte blanche to take the law into his own hands and administer point-of-contact justice. What bothers me is that this is being portrayed as a race issue, a white-v-black issue, and I just can't see it that way. Yeah, I'm white, but I'm also of Canadian descent and as a child, I was raised without any bias in the house or from the people around me. This is an issue of too many people over-stepping their authority or their civil rights, both on the part of the police (and not just in Baltimore) and on the part of the rioters. So it would seem that one bad turn deserves another? Sorry, I'll say it again….it just doesn't make sense. If one was to critically analyze the situation, there are folks on OR and elsewhere who espouse the theory that it can be attributed to the black community's sense of powerlessness to effect change in their lives, and thus their only option is to direct their anger toward the power establishment. Would it that much of a stretch to say that the over-reaction of the police in certain instances may also be an indication that they feel powerless to control their environment? Just thinking out loud….

  9. I'm curious about the turnout. If anyone goes, let us know! Sometimes ladies feel intimidated by guys (that they perceive to be more knowledgeable) hanging out correcting them... this is a nice idea. Idk if those kinds of ladies are necessarily here on OR, but I know they exist!!

  15. And the rioters are not? They are at least fourth generation of poverty. I call it Generational Institutionalized Poverty. GIP. There is no one left in the hood that has the slightest idea what working hard and/or getting educated means. You look at them and tell them they need to succeed they have no f'ing idea what that means. Their parents don't know, their grandparents don't know...it's too many generations removed from them. They have never seen it, they don't know anyone that has ever seen it either. Yea, yea...they have no fathers. But again, it's been that way for generations. Their mother didn't have a father either. We have a student here whose dad is in prison, and her mom just died from a heroin overdose. WTF chance does that girl have? I don't know what the answer is but the cops beating the shit out of them and killing them isn't the answer, nor is rioting. But I honestly don't blame them for burning the f'er down. I probably would too. So would pretty much everyone here. We just wouldn't take it.

  17. Well that sucks. I had to go to Dallas the day after the nurse tested positive for Ebola. People were freaking out. Probably the emptiest flight I've ever been on.

  18. Sounds like some great training opportunities for US Special Operations to have some fun. And if the rioters and upsets folks want to really stir up things, how about attack the police stations and see what happens? Good cops and bad cops....blah blah blah, break the law "particularly certain laws" and you might just get your ass kicked.
