I think he said he is looking to unstretch it.... As for the muffler it sounded to me like someone took it apart and gutted the baffling. IMO he should just cut it down a little when he unstretches it and put it some replacement baffling from pony.
Yes fan kicks and I've bled it and bled it time and time again and the overflow res just fills up and the bike starts to overheat. The bike only has 3500 miles on it, could my radiator cap coinidently gone bad when I swapped coolants?
I hit 230 in stop and go. Fan kicks but only slows down the temp from rising, doesn't stop it. Oil level is fine. My thinking is that I just have yet to correctly bleed the system.
I bled it really well last week and it ran ok.... yes just ok. Problem being that I rode quite a bit yesterday, low and behold it got up around 230 again. I went out just now with the bike stone cold and the overflow tank is full... what gives?!
So the one I had lined up fell through. If anyone is on the fence about going I would be glad to take the day off their hands. Ill be posting this on STT forums as well as any other forums you guys might think are useful. Thanks in advance for any help at all! And before someone else tells me to just sign up for I and request to be moved down day of.... well just save the key strokes EDIT: I managed to misspell Novice in the title.... awesome LOL
How do you adjust the brake lever? I have Pazzo levers and I thought that was really all the more adjustability you got beyond doing lines and pads to increase feel. My lever feels squishy beyond my liking....
I don't see why not but then you're tearing into a stock housing correct? Why not just run down to pick and pull and find a stock round fog light from any car and add a regular or even HID bulb to it? (I might get flammed for even suggesting an HID in a bike)
So this pile of stock parts has quickly accumulated on my work bench. The idea behind my aftermarket parts is that most are rebuildable so I have no need to hold onto the stock stuff. If its alright I'm going to just post everything obo. If people start being gay about wanting prices then I'll just cross reference what stuff looks like its going for on egay. All parts are from my 06' GSXR 600 so I'm assuming most will cross to 06-07 600s/750s at the very least and maybe more. -Stock levers -stock clip ons -stock left side case cover (very clean) -stock damper -stock rear sets -stock throttle tube and grips -stock exhaust Thanks for looking!
