  1. I'd be happy to ride with you sometime. I've been traveling a lot for work, but I'm sure we could find a day that works.
  2. New job with no vacation. Probably coulda made it work anyway with some last minute shuffling, but I've been really sick this week and now I have a funeral to go to today... The universe did not want me to go this year! Pics of your baby bump? :-D.
  3. Ride safe everyone. Wish I could be there
  4. That's why he was so quiet!! Hahaha
  5. I've noticed the dianese jackets seem to have longer arms. I usually compensate with gauntlet gloves, or just deal with the sunburn on my wrists :-P
  6. I had the hunger and messed up sleep too. I've been gorging myself like a 600lb man... Even my coworkers noticed. lol. I'm quitting it and just dealing with the hives.
  7. I fat fingered the rep button. Meant to up that post! I always have a hard time finding jackets that have long enough sleeves.
  8. I think prednisone is possibly the worst drug ever. I started with poison ivy, got the hives from benedryl cream, took prednisone to fix the hives, have gained and lost a minimum of 5 lbs every day for the past few days ( one day gained and lost 8 lbs), and ended up with a sore throat/sinus issue that is making me so miserable. Shoulda stuck with the poison ivy rash and just let my body handle it!
  9. I actually understood that. I think.
  10. Thanks. Hope yours gets better too.
  11. I literally just went to a minute clinic in Kroger yesterday because of hives. I got some poison something (ivy, oak, sumac, who knows), and the rash has been appearing over the coarse of the last week and THEN, I broke out in hives. I couldn't handle the itching anymore. For me, I actually have some random things that can trigger hives. There's a certain german suntan lotion that does it, I think the ivy scrub or benedryl cream i was using triggered them this time. My sisters bf breaks out in hives when they drive through a busy city - just from stress.
  12. I need a backpack to ride with that can fit 1-2 laptops, steel toe shoes, safety hat, and my lunch Seriously though, any suggestions for a tough back pack with a laptop slot? I need something kind of mid size, and I want it to be comfy.
  13. Yes, I think its nice to just host help clinics in general - its certainly not just the ladies that need help lol. I learned everything I know from random people and youtube, but I'm not shy to ask when I need help.
  14. I'm curious about the turnout. If anyone goes, let us know! Sometimes ladies feel intimidated by guys (that they perceive to be more knowledgeable) hanging out correcting them... this is a nice idea. Idk if those kinds of ladies are necessarily here on OR, but I know they exist!!
  15. Short notice, but I'm going to get food and a beer and thought I would throw out the invite to any ORers who are sitting at home sad bc it's cold and rainy Columbus ale house 7:30ish olentangy road
  16. ^thats my most weighted deciding factor - culture. I've been at a job for years where my boss gives me direction when I need it, but never cares even if I'm there or not. Makes my life low stress. I also look for something that is challenging, and will be a good learning experience. Being bored at your job is a miserable way to spend your time. Good luck on your decision!
  17. good effort. next week isn't looking much better, but Sunday will feel like summer compared to the cold we have today.
  18. If you pick a day when the air doesn't hurt, I'll come out!
  19. Similar reason as to why I got rid of State Farm. They said there are a lot of claims for people who only have motorcycle insurance, so my rates were going up because of that... nonsense.

    Good News thread:

And if you can avoid engaging with him while he's whining, that will help too. Only acknowledge him when he's quieted down if you can. Congrats, he's adorable
