I got it........goo gone gel spray....leave it for three hours (I did not expect that).....and it works.....finally.....silly me:slap:

I am prepairing my fairing for repair and color. I have pulled/scraped the heat pads from the inside fairing......the sponge part is completely removed but there is a layer of adhesive..... what the hell kind of adhesive they have used.....I have tried goo gone, acetone, caulk remover, adhesive remover, #60 sandpaper......scuff pads.... now what steel wool....#36 sand paper....am I talking sense here
