That's about right....
That's what I asked how much he paid for that amazon machine. If it was within $700 or so I woulda just saved up a bit more and bought a grom not some off-brand thing.
Someone hits my clutch side, eh I may loose some drive or something. Someone hits my brake - I could go over the bars. It's more common than you think at the budget club racing level.
One of the zippers on mine came off the rail and I need to take it to a cobbler or someone to get it back on there. I've been meaning to do that for a couple months - at this point it's sounding like a winter project.
I'll be honest - I'm the last one to ask for updates/info for Mid-Ohio. I stopped riding there in 2016 and won't be back until they repave the damn place.
I also have an r6 master + stock calipers on my sv and it made a world of difference.
I've had an r6 master + r6 calipers on my 2009 gsxr 1k and that setup was nice for the money.
Speaking as someone that rides a lightweight in a sea of 600's and 1000's - it's much more fun when there are other sv's, fz's, and kramer's out in the same session that have riders of similar pace.
I know how much 300's/400's are raced lol.
But no track org is going to cover track rental costs at a big bike track only allowing 400cc and under bikes as participants.
I'm about 2 seconds faster during a race vs. a trackday.
Literally we all start somewhere. Keep coming out and always make a plan before each session, what am I going to work on (pick 1 or 2 things) and work on them. Speed will come.
I got the team's side and looked over the bike that was delivered for the specific purpose to race MA supersport and some WERA classes and it's not legal for those intended classes for starters.
Truth is a specific build was requested to fit in specific classes and it wasnt close and took forever.
I've always heard Kerr was a good guy. Idk why this happened.
Never get footage of myself but this weekend I did (I'm the one in front)! Towing one of my buddy's around Nelson's ledges on my sv. Blake's FZ makes me realize how under-powered my SV is 😪.
I would suggest an r3 if you're looking at small small bikes. More aftermarket support and more parts/set up knowledge in any given paddock.
There are r3's circulating in our intermediate group and they do just fine with the right pilot it's just a different riding style. You don't brake LOL.
