Yeah yeah you were probably like not this squid again...LOL I'll wait till 8:45 to talk to you this time.

Intermediate before an Endurance weekend was definitely like entering Thunder dome but a hell of a good time.

Yea Friday's before endurance weekends have pretty much turned into race practice. Only the strong will survive.

I'll be there. #22 Black Honda CBR in Intermediate. Come say hi. I talked a buddy into getting a track bike and will be his first day too.

You will not be disappointed with the track or the facility.

Sorry about the blank face I gave you the other weekend. I meet and speak to so many damn people those weekends... plus catching me that early in the morning I'm not even fully awake yet haha.

Did anyone see the Sunday's MotoGP race. The last six laps transitioned from dry to downpour. It was epic watching those that came in trying to catch those that didn't and were basically riding at Harley speeds.

    That GP race was entertaining.

You should see some of the MotoAmerica bagger class. There are a lot of people that would have their feelings hurt watching one of those go past them while riding a full on track bike.

Yea, that was an impressive misread of the original post. Given Bubba is not riding the track, I'm pretty sure he doesn't care about the pavement 😆

Wonder when Nelson's is having a Super 2000 event.

Glad I could help :thefinger: Still did more than you 3 by tagging someone that is very familiar with Grattan.

  5. For the record its not a race school. It's a riding school that anyone at any level can attend and get good take-aways. I don't care if you've been riding 30 years -  you will learn something that will not only improve your understanding of how a motorcycle is designed to be ridden it will make you safer.

Not track focused it just happens to be on a track since that is the safest most controlled place.

It's controlling your motorcycle focused. Techniques can be applied to the street or the track. The bike doesn't know what it's on whether its a road or a track.

I'm going through the 2-day school on tues/wed. Been waiting about 3 years to do it.

Anyone know if Nelsons Ledges paddock is open the night before to drop a trailer like PittRace is?  I'm going for my first time on 7/31.  Their website is a little sparse on details.

Yea you should be able to get in Friday afternoon.

Unfortunately, the wife vetoed my plans for Nelson's. Apparently, we have others plans that's she failed to tell me about. Maybe Pitt later in the year.

Better sign up now. Pitt sells out pretty often. Last weekend we were there it was sold out 3 weeks in advance. Also by signing up early you can tell your wife YOU have plans then.

Was thinking about coming out to Nelson Ledges for my inaugural track day 7/31. Finally got my gear sorted so I'm ready. Anything I need to make sure to have done to the bike for my first novice session?

Not really for novice. Just make sure nothing is loose and nothing is leaking and your tires are good. Heres our riders manual - give that a read as well. https://www.n2td.org/manuals-and-forms/

  9. LOL honestly man.... that doesnt look too bad for how heavy of a bike and how you fling it around. I doubt you're going to be able to clean that up completely if you keep riding at pace loaded down/ riding that bike.

Stop riding so hard if you don't want to see this happen to your rear tire - that's my advice. The faster you go the more rubber you'll use. Simple math.
