That is a bummer, but good luck with the racing. Nelson and PIRC are about the same distance and even though it's more expensive for PIRC I'm going to spend my money there this year.

    Cant go wrong with PIRC.

If you're a noob and hesitant don't be. I was an absolute amateur and shit rider until I started riding in a few groups with Pauly and he gave me a ton of good knowledge, tips and tricks of the trade. My skills blossomed and some of the most fun vehicular related times and stories I had were on these group rides.

It's really the biggest thing I miss about not having my own motorcycle anymore.

It's a perishable skill. Bet you're back to being a lil bishh on a bike.

Jokes aside - I would not be the rider I am today without the help from individuals on this forum.

Streets are still open. The brine makes things interesting and you can wear double-protection and not break a sweat

Even if I had a street bike I wouldn't be taking it out with all the crap on the roads right now.

I have a G3.  Can't find one legitimate negative review on youtube .  One guy tried by manipulating the slide and safety at the same time to make it appear the safety is on but it still shoots.  To me that's not a design or gun flaw.  His argument was moot because he owns a glock. They do not have a safety.  But he was all about the safety of the Taurus🤡

Glocks have a safety but it is integrated into the trigger like many polymer handguns.

    My 75 SP-01 Tactical doesnt have a safety, just a decocker. DA/SA.

I didn’t go to the gun show, but recently picked up a sar 9. I got it at a local gun shop for $349. It is my first gun. Bought it for home protection. I’ve only fired like 4 rounds through it. My daughter shot 6 rounds. 50 cents a round is costly. I noticed a big difference in the feel compared to the Hi-point I fired previously. I’m definitely a novice but I like it.

Haha, my sling shot feels better than any hi-point 😉

They also carry wilson combat ARs at 22 three.  Pretty nice place.  Handgun selection wasn't impressive.  Different than the other stores.  They had a lot of baretta cz and glocks.  They had Several used kentucky state police issued glocks for sale too.  A little over priced in my opinion.

I had been looking for a particular cz for a couple months until I found one. Saw a handful down in that area.

I thought it would be fun to have a 890 Duke and it would be once I make it to the curvy roads but it is slower than the BMW so unless I figure out how to have two bikes again that choice is out.

Currently stalking the new ZX10R, it has everything I think I'm looking for. Too new for any deals yet so I'll wait. I could go with a leftover old generation bike and buy a tune that gives it an autoblipper but I like to leave my bikes stock.

Thanks for the offer but I have pretty good resources for Kawasaki, BMW, Yamaha and KTM.

Ah yea forgot you have some close ties to Kennedy's iirc.

If you have any questions about the last gen (not the one that just came out) you can probably ask @blue03636 he's been balls deep into his for a couple years now. His is set up really well and has been reliable.

I do really like the BMW for an all around bike it does trips and backroad riding just fine. I really miss having a fast bike though. The BMW is quick up to 120 MPH but it just doesn't feel fast, I'm constantly waiting on it to accelerate. I haven't done as many long trips as I thought I would so the traveling comfort isn't as big of a plus as I thought it would be. It's main selling point for me was the quickshifter/autoblipper which is starting to pop up on most bikes currently that are fast and don't have the weight penalty the BMW carries.

Bike sales and inventory are crazy this year which will most likely have me stay with the BMW longer than I want to since I haven't come across any great deals worth switching for. The BMW is right at 18K miles and will be getting the 18K service done before riding it next season which is a major expense.

What new liter bike are you looking for? I personal friends with the owners of Barnes Bro's in PA and they've been known to give good deals. If you're in the market for a suzuki, ktm, kawi, or yamaha.

I've only had chain/sprocket issues with bikes that I've bought used. I had to replace one chain because it was so rusted and neglected that it had kinks in it. I had to replace a rear sprocket on a different bike because it had an aluminum sprocket.

Any bike I've bought new kept the original chain and sprocket until sold. Maybe I don't keep them long enough to wear out a chain or sprocket. My last bike went 21K miles and the bike prior to that was 16K miles. My current bike has 18K miles and the chain/sprocket look like new still. I do clean them between every ride with WD40 though.

    Even on the 1000rr?

Is it a bad thing that I don't even know what kind of oil is in my bike. Actually I don't even care what kind is in it, I don't keep a bike forever. My current bike probably won't see 25K miles with me owning it.

I thought you loved that bmw!
