  1. Way too easy...... I knew who was beggin before I opened it. Lets see you live near Polaris so, the mall has at least 3 or 4 places to buy one. Not to mention target best buy and the places near by.
  2. The problem with local.....is Ohio is a big place. Humane societies are fine. Children's hospitals are way flush with cash. Look at that empire on livingston.

  5. Your taking advice from anonymous people about something that should get professional advice on. You have read enough of these discussions to know that most people are full of shit. Advice is easy to give when it isn't your money or life and you don't have to live with the repercussions.

I took my 7 and 9 year old. Not too much swearing as I remember. There is a drill Sergent type officer who caries on about killing and such but not bad. They saw it in Imax 3d which was outstanding. Now if we combined the story of star wars with the visuals of Avatar then you would have something. The entire Hero of a Thousand faces story.
  13. Well, I was down a year or so ago. The place is a disaster. The trees should be 30 feet tall by now producing nuts. except they cleared most of them for a camp ground and more parking. They build a shanty shooting range and built a berm. There are horse and atv trails throughout the property. It is almost like a commercial outdoor place, except no one gives a shit. The LLC is a good idea.

Just saw it in Imax 3d. Pretty incredible visually. WOW. Pretty standard cowboys and indians story. very predictable.
  15. That way when he gets killed slamming into the minivan in front of him the surviors in the van have to sue his family for damages.
  16. To be honest.....It would be much easier today than 20 years ago. just shoot out a group email or create a yahoo group with calendar. Piece of cake. I forgot to mention work days. You need scheduled work days on the property that everyone must attend. There was 4 of us doing all of the work. We planted 200 red and white oak trees we got from the state. We also created some paths and brush pile to route the game where we wanted. I don't like my hunting area being used a rifle or shotgun range. But that is just me.
  17. That bill is all over the place. Clearly not the answer But something needs to be done about health care. The cost is out of control.
  18. I tried the hunting club thing once. You need to set harvest specification, camping clauses, guest limits, agree on land uses and create a schedule to hunt. Food plots and mineral sites need to be discussed too. I was 1/12 owner of a 500 acre spread near Albany in Vinton County. We had a couple of members who decided that it was ok for them to camp down their on the weekend and ride their dirt bikes and 3 wheelers all over the place. Not to mention they shot the place up. Their friends started hanging out down there too. With out permission. When we bought it we had quail, a few turkey, grouse, squirrel and lots a deer. Not to mention it was beautiful. When I sold out it was a waste land. Shotgun shell casings every where beer cans everywhere, and Not a single living creature to hunt. When scouting tree stand locations the year I sold out, I was just bout ran over by a guy on an atc who promptly turned around and told me to get off HIS property. I carry a copy of the deed and title with me when I was down there. I suggested he call the sheriff and met me back at my truck and we will talk to the sheriff. He disappeared, no sheriff. While scouting, there was absolutely no sign, So I put my stand where I had success in the passed. Opening day, I get on the stand before first light, it was beautiful I hear a car door followed by another.....20 minutes later I hear a dirt bike fire up. It was one of the other owners brought his son and a "few" of his buddys out to ride. Well it was a wasted day. It was 20 years ago now.......I regret selling it, but I participated in it for some where to hunt. Just be careful of who you let join.
  19. I would not sink a tone of money in a flat panel. As mentioned before go cheap that way when it blows up it is less of loss. When I replaced my XBR tube the date of manufacture on it say June 1989 65 inch plasma.......I would ask myself how much heat does it generate per hour and how many amps it draws to run. I have a friend with a 50" plasma that he cannot run in the summer because the AC can't keep up
  20. bought most of my hand guns from Vances or New Albany.....both very reputable in my book.
  21. There was no foam in the cases. they were the tupperware kind with a post for the trigger guard. Looked in my tarus cases nothing under the foam in them. Looked in my smith boxes nothing under the foam.....Hmmmmmm, I haven't bought a new firearm in a long time......I wonder if it is something new.
  22. Dang.....Not sure where you got the information that they give you the spent shells. I have purchased 4 new glocks and never received spent shells with them. Now none within the last 5 years. Is it something new?????
  23. Great discussion......Have enjoyed this
  24. It is all about balance. Bird shot would not penetrate multiple layers of dry wall, It also won't penetrate to vital organs. A question you have to ask yourself is, how will the bad guy react to being popped by a bunch of bird shot. The likely hood of a killing shot is lower, but I bet he is on the ground. Is it worth risking your life over? Just things to think about.
