That may have been true 8 years ago when the thread of ARFCOM was written that everyone likes to reference, but that's not so much the case these days.

I was at the Dick's at Heath with JaSSon at midnight when they opened. By the time we left the self defense ammo was cleared out, .223 looked to be cleared out. Not a ton of handgun ammo left. They didn't have ANY basic 10/22s in the store even though they were in the ad. Most of the clothing that I saw in the store wasn't even on sale. Safe's were heavily discounted.

I got that same thing last year in .308 for $450 out the door. Sold it at Johnstown Swappers Day for $550. Thing kicked like a mule, I wasn't sad to see it go. I didn't see you mention what caliber you got but I have a little bit of .308 laying around that I can't use if you might be interested. Trade for some .223/5.55, .380, .45ACP, .17HMR, 20 gauge or even some .22 magnum. I just don't need it. I have maybe 2 boxes, and some empty shells.

because they have done nothing to deserve it? because no local law or ordinance may supersede state law in regards to firearms? because this is gun registration, which isn't a part of Ohio law? because this is the same city with over the line cops that threaten to shoot valid CCW holders in the FUCKING FACE, for a mistake the officer made? because this is the same city that has tried to strip legal gun owners of their right to own guns time and again even after Ohio passed preemption? It seems like there has been a fresh story of Akron being way over the line in regards to guns about every 6 months. They instruct their officers to push the boundaries of what they are allowed to do to oppress gun owners including confiscating legally owned guns with no intention of returning them until a court orders them multiple times to do so, and then enact a gun registration when they are clearly not legally able to. This is why this is an issue. Give the city of Akron an inch and they will go from bending the laws to outright breaking them with complete disregard to what the state of Ohio allows them to do.

At this point if I were to switch to TMo, hit their data cap and get throttled down, I'd still be at a faster speed than a normal day on Sprint. Problem there is they don't have service in places I go, like my mom's house. And I won't switch to Verizon or ATT. I'd rather move to a prepaid deal so it costs half as much but then I get the same shitty service. I see no way to win.

sadly yes I've been meaning to post that on Sprint's Facebook page and ask them why I'm paying an extra $10 per month per phone for this so called premium data, when it is completely unusable in the downtown area of Ohio's third largest city. Farm subsidies need to die. It is an artificial way to increase food prices which harms the economy. Because of this the government refuses to include food prices in their inflation estimates. They are using tax money to pay farmers to sit on their thumbs and not farm. Then we have a drought and are double screwed for it, but the farmers don't care because their insurance covers the failed crop.

Those uppers are probably fine but I'd spend a little more and get a real lower, not that flimsy plastic crap. Those would be fine for a .22 build that I don't care about but I wouldn't trust one for a real AR.
