  1. Gump DJI has their own software for way points up to I think 16 points. Its actually very easy to program just pick points on a satellite map of your position tell it at what altitude and speed you want to fly at slow med or fast and thats about it. FPV booster V3 another app also has a way point program very similar. I'm not sure of the software that Cheerson has available but DJI is always updating. In fact I got an email about new software updates after the white house scare.
  2. I have used the ground station but thats boring. It is a little creepy how it goes...does its thing and comes back. I can watch it all with the FPV and record if I like. I mostly do LOS/FPV but at 1000 feet and 400 feet up its very hard to see so FPV works! Jdonn if you haven't flown anything like this get a cheap copter practice. Otherwise I would get something like the Cheerson or DJI. I picked the DJI only because of the reviews and information I have found. These will fly in winds up to 17 mph safely. I have read about people flying in stronger winds but not suggested. The RTH feature is great along with the ground control. (programed flight)
  3. I did a stage 2 antenna that should get me 4000-5000 depending on wifi noise.http://fpvlr.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=103 I'm still working on mine and with the weather lately I haven't been able to really play with it. So far I have done 1350 at around 400 feet alt. I think I might have an issue with one of the antennas or connections. The Mini RP-SMA connectors are a bitch and I might have forced it on. Anyways the fix is on the way and should get it in the next few days. I also just down loaded The FVPbooster V3 iOS app (which they just lowered the price for three days.) I have been getting braver with going further. I just wanted to figure out the time it takes to bring it back before the battery is depleted. With the cold I think it has lowered the flight time by 5 minutes!. Also I got rid of the prop guards which seemed to also hamper the copter and also can contribute to VRS (vortex ring state) Which I did see signs of when descending straight down after doing some high altitude flights. I'm sure I will do more mods since most things I own I seem to monkey with...
  4. Ha ha wasn't me but.....
  5. yeah they are a blast. I have been working on getting better distances with a modified antenna. So far I have been flying around 300 feet alt. and a distance of around 1200ft
  6. I would use this on my race bikes to protect the fairings from looking sandblasted. I would just buy a sheet and cut to fit. It worked great and kept my bodywork looking new even after a few seasons http://www.clearmask.com/contact_us.php
  7. everyone will have their way of fixing the holes. Honestly its not rocket science and you will figure it out quickly. My only suggestion is get a perfectly flat sanding tool. The sponges are good or a drywall sanding tool depending on the size. Don't push hard when sanding and feather the repair to the rest of the wall. Thin layers way better than one thick blob. Finally if you really suck at this consider flat paint LOL
  8. Chimney fires are the real deal and they should be inspected at least once a year. Not sure where your located but go to a place that knows what they are talking about r/t wood burners. We did our research and went to a couple places that had working units. It was nice to feel the heat and mess with it while it was fired up. I think that would help turn your wife.
  9. They are nice still like seasoned wood a little bit better but they burn very clean and complete like charcoal briquettes. Owning a pickup truck and a chainsaw was all I needed for free wood. Later I found a tree cutting service that would let me know when they were in my neighborhood. It was a win win. They were happy to let me take the wood that they wouldn't need to haul or chip and I was happy for the firewood.
  10. Yes I have FPV via my phone. Actually I use my old iPhone 5 works perfectly. I also use a program called SHOU which records all the information on the screen (distance altitude speed battery etc) Once finished flying can download the video and edit in the recording from the phone. Its a newer version of iRec. Phantom 2 vision + has a 3-Axis gimbal attached comes with a 1080p HD camera able to do 1080p 30, 720p 60 for clean slow motion and takes 14 Mega pixel stills. So far I am loving playing with it. As long as I am locked into at least 6 satellites the GPS is very stable the thing can basically fly itself. Loose signal no problem will return to where it took off and land.
  11. I don't pay for the wood and my house was always very warm. I even would keep the door open to my garage and heat that when I was working in it.
  12. Buy a quality insert like a LOPI with a blower. We heated a 2,200 sq ft colonial without an issue. I would not buy a pellet stove mainly for the fact you need to have pellets and electricity to run the stove. Look into a nice wood burning insert like a Lopi Freedom. We purchased one for our old house and it paid for itself in two years with the house between 72-74 degrees. Our gas bills ran 19-25 dollars a month. That was for the hot water heater and our gas stove. We would burn form October to April weather permitting and would go through 3-5 cords depending on the winter. I never bought wood but make no mistake it is some work from getting, stacking, and moving the wood. Also dealing with cleaning the ashes and maintaining the fire. If your not into getting firewood, Check into a company that sells ECO bricks. Eco bricks are compressed sawdust. They usually sell for 190 dollars a skid and a skid is equal to a cord of wood. They are easy to stack/store and don't have to worry about bugs etc. Yes the house can be dry from the wood burner but not that big of an issue we would keep water on the stove that would help humidify the room. We also have two big dogs that always seem to bring lots of snow back in after they go outside. Another thing to look at is having ceiling fans or other fans to circulate the hot air around. Finally make sure you burn seasoned wood. I cannot stress how important that is. I have learned a lot about types of wood and which burn cold and which burn hot. We now live in a new house with a high efficiency Fireplace (wood burner) which draws outside air for the fire instead of air from the house. This eliminates drafts that our old stove would create, still nothing as bad as a normal fireplace would create.
  13. I have a phantom vision+ v3 and its a blast. Love the FPV. Like everything else I own its been modified after having it a week
  14. I did a quick look on craigs list and found three trailers around 400 dollars much better than a HF with bigger wheels. Now is a great time to look people get tired of having a trailer they don't need and no one is really looking.
  15. christmas bump great for storing your bike

    Stocks under $10

well Fomx one of the stocks I talked about just jumped 1.20 or 22% today still think it should be a 7.25-7.50 stock right now its 6.60. I have my trailing stops in place with profits locked in. Himx another stock with a nice bump today.

    Stocks under $10

I totally agree. I'm always looking for information. I'm sure its inside trading, computer trading and what ever else that the general public will never know. I love watching CNBC and when they say something about a certain stock I see the bump a few seconds later. Funny thing is that CNBC only talks about the same 10 stocks every day (sarcastic ). Cramer is the king of pump and dump

    Stocks under $10

Couple things to think about capital gains taxes (short term/long term) cost of trading (cost per trade) Volume how many shares trade per day also something to think about is dividend stocks. I have a few stocks that have a good dividend % that are dollar cost averaged into the portfolio.

    Stocks under $10

I play with a few under 10 dollars Vale and Clf not bad for long term and with a div. Nete I have made some money on and just bought it again at 1.38 Fomx bought at 4.90 Meet should be a 2.50 stock The problem with stocks under 10 dollars to make any money one needs to have a lot of shares. Also watch stocks that get pumped up for no real reason and short them. Bottom line do your research trading can be very emotional and can loose a lot of money. Make sure you use trailing stops or stops to prevent major losses
  20. I like the rivet style and smaller dzus rather than the larger ones. Also can buy button head bolts from many hardware stores if needed. One thing I tried to make a point of was having one size fastener for the complete body. So when I needed to pull the bodywork for tech or service I only needed one allen wrench
  21. glad you didn't take out a loan on your 401k. I guess my first post was really spot on
  22. I used Dzus and stock fasteners Dzus I purchased from both sharkskins and Kurvey girl http://www.kurveygirl.com/shop/index.php?cPath=104&osCsid=022m3tiqckk62nejcqluhdqu02
  23. I wouldn't take money from your 401k. Why? If you fail to make payment for 90 days say something happens.(sickness/accident, need a new roof etc.) The money is considered a distribution and taxed as income, plus a 10% penalty if under 59 1/2. And, if you leave or get let go from your job, you must repay the entire loan within 60 days or get hit with the same penalties. Could you do that? Glad you paid your credit cards first, sound advice to never carry a balance with them. (The best way to cut the blood loss) My rule is to never spend more on a cc than I can pay off. If I cannot afford it I don't need it. Pay off the car next even if its just extra cash on the payment you have. What you save is money you could be spending on your garage. After all your debt is taken care of go for the garage. If you want the garage so bad find a way to earn more money not borrow it and screw yourself harder. Finally your friend's dad who is a financial adviser gave you the wrong advice. IMO Also what company stock is it?
  24. both the 1000RR and the R6 using baxley stands able to squeeze the bikes closer together.
