Holy fucking shit. I try to get the scoop on THE MAN and all his dirty doings, but what I end up with is 20+ pages of a "who is the biggest ass-hat" contest. I must say, I don't think I ever saw someone with less than 100 posts and a rep that negative... good job you fucking newb. You can apparently run from choppers, radios, police cruisers and the law in general, but that damn OR rep is kickin' your ass.... And who makes threats of violence via electronic media?? Moron, that is called "evidence" and where I am from we learned not to leave any of that just lying about...

Hell, I am free and hungry... Weather looks pretty good too... count me in. Been painting the Suzuki frame and I want another coat of prime and to start the final, so unless I get too stoned from paint fumes to ride a bike I should be there. (respirator for the win...)

Normally I would give some dispensation for talent, but I never really cared for his music, nor am I aware of any positive benefit he had on the music industry. (once again, I generally hate pop music and as far as I can tell that and dozens of little boys are all he ever really affected....) Mostly, I just see one more rich pedophile off the streets. Anyone but MJ would have been rotting in prison the last few years instead of living a life of luxury, I can't seem to find any sympathy as a result. Rot in peace and good riddance to bad rubbish. I am only glad he was almost bankrupt at the end, perhaps that tainted his joy of being a free pervert on the prowl just a bit. Anyone getting sore over MJ bashing should catch a clue and realize that even if you appreciate his musical talent, he was still a very bad sort of freak. Talent is no excuse for making an ass of yourself in society and someone should have put that dog down years ago.

+100 exactly, Darwinism is good for the species AND entertaining.

Did anyone watch that video and NOT put their hand down their pants at some point??

That's just terrible. More, please.

I just moved from there, between Sawmill and Riverside... Fucking beautiful area, very nice place to live. Lots of trees, quiet, convenient shopping and freeway access. Only reason I moved was because I went from an apartment to a house with 3 city lots, 2 car garage, outbuilding and full basement... I needed the space more than the cushy living. If you can afford to live in Dublin, and it is convenient to your work, I would definitely recommend it!

Welcome to the club, at least you didn't look as stupid as I did!!! +1 for wearing the gear, one more reason to always wear your lid, even when just going down to the corner... Glad to hear you were not hurt, scars are just tattoos with better stories. Edit: I imagine the rep jump is for not being a silly squid and wearing his gear. If his rep was negative before, then perhaps this is just a sign that he pulled his head out far enough to see daylight now.

North end and both Northern corners of 270 are nice. Especially Dublin, Upper Arlington, Westerville and Worthington. South end is mostly hillbillies and white trash, with the ghetto sandwiched in between. This is a very broad and generalized assessment, mind you. Exceptions are to be expected and I could list several off the top of my head. (look up Clintonville, German Villiage or Bexley, all gems among the rough....) I have lived in Northland, Dublin, Westerville and currently reside in Obetz. Nice and quiet here, almost like home. Lots of inbreeders and rednecks, but nothing I can't handle, and they are pretty tame "city" hillbillies, not like the really scary ones that fertilize the corn fields with outsiders... Hospitals: Grant, Riverside, St Anns, everyone else. In that order. This is debatable also, but less so. I have experience here... Grant is where you go on LifeFlight, best trauma team for many, many miles. Riverside is a great hospital for heart/cancer (they have McConnell Heart Center now, thats what you get when you save the richest man in Columbus from heart disease...) St. Anns is close on the North end and not incompetant. Nursing homes, I only know about Willowbrook facilities. They are tip top, but expensive and religious. Also, I know the administrator of their largest facility. (my Mother)

I will see if I can get the gf on 2 wheels... I'm a strong "maybe." Relocating to the other side of 270 makes it harder to convince her that it's "just a short ride."

Damn, dude! Good to hear you are ok, chalk up another win for wearing your lid. Have fun with the new bike hunting too!!! Edit: You can thank god, but I would be writing love letters to HJC instead of JC myself... they actually DID something to save you...

Holy hell that's an ugly bike... I kinda want one of the newer Ninja 636's, but that 89 beast is pug-fugly!! (although it does look like a 20 yr old Tom Cruise should be riding it out of a bad movie....)

I have had some bad experiences with them. They are rude and over priced. Also, they assume you know nothing and try to feed you bullshit as if they do.... I was looking for ignition parts for an old Suzuki and they were far more trouble than my time was worth. They repeatedly tried to tell me that they needed to test my coils and wanted to charge me for the service.... I am an EET (electrical engineering tech) and had a few million bucks worth of equipment at my disposal and the coils were already tested better than they could imagine, but they continued to insist that I let them use their new little machine (which they didn't even understand how it worked or what it was actually testing....) and pay them for the privilege. The best part was when I told them the results of MY testing and they glazed over as if I had begun speaking an alien tongue. Their reply was that, "well, you can't really tell if the coil is bad from all of that, we have to test it on our special machine." I asked them what their machine was "testing" for, and all they knew was "coils." Nothing about impedance, inductance, etc... just coils, and only our machine knows how... When I called them on the phone, they sounded incompetent, but insisted they they had my coils and that they were only 20 bucks. (They even made me wait while they checked to be sure they had two on hand) When I arrived they had a different story... they didn't actually HAVE my coils, but they would see if they could match mine up with something else, and they wanted another 20 bucks to test my coils first. Come to find out, they don't know anything about displacing electrons other than it makes the pretty lights come on, and they didn't have ANY ignition parts for my bike. (but for 20 bucks they will test your bad coils, and then tell you all they have are the aftermarket replacements which they sell at another 20 dollar mark up... ) Needless to say I paid them not one red cent and gave them the old "you're number one in my book" hand gesture as I left. Did I mention that they are really over priced?? I have had several similar experiences with this junkyard, and thus I do not go back.

I believe he is referring to the many similar images from Somalia during our military escapades there.... Funny shit, always love seeing trained soldiers go up against newbs who learned to shoot from American rap videos. Funny that they still consider the "Blackhawk down" episode a victory against America because they dropped a Blackhawk and killed what, three GIs? In the process they got more than 1000 of themselves killed... Too many victories like that and they won't have anyone left to starve to death in their backwater, war torn, tribal lead, piece of crap country.

Nice one. Love the matching bikes!! LOL Mine likes to passenger, but she won't ride herself until I buy the bike she wants.... Grrrrr Chicks and money... Sunday was a nice day for it too... Tried to get her on the bike with the incentive of riding to the zoo... She pulled a fast one on me at the last min and made me take the cage because she wanted "to wear her cute hippie skirt..." Grrrr again.... Zoo was lame and weather was great!!

That is the sickest fucking bike I have ever seen or imagined... Who do I have to fuck or kill to have it? I'm willing to do both to the same person... in any order... want the damn bike... Also, my GF wants to marry whomever did the metal work... bastard. edit: On closer inspection... we have a few questions before committing sodomy, murder, or both. WTF kind of engine is that, an I4?? And the transmission... why no chain to the rear sprocket!?!? It has to be a working bike if I am to suspend what little morality I have to get it...

bugger... Still sitting on the porch drinking coffee in half a stupor... I am going to ride today regardless, probably North into Knox, but not decided yet. Anyone who wants to take a fairly easy ride out of town to catch icecream or lunch and then ride back a different route and doesn't have strict schedule this afternoon hit me up. (I typically ride aggressively, but too many cops this weekend and the GF doesn't like the bike we are taking....) 7403582511 Matt

This is going to be a project.... all sun and no bike.

Fuck yeah, that's wicked! I'm not the painter, really, I'm the mechanic and fabricator. I will work steel for frames, suspension, steering, etc and I rebuild and repair, but the only painting I do is utilitarian. (like this frame... LOL) All my shit is flat black or OD green when I get done. Oddly enough, I leave the custom paint to my girlfriend. She is ASE cert mechanic, but mostly does body work and paint. (also, she is artistic and I can't draw a stick figure) I will have to show her your bike, she will shit a brick I'm sure. (loves wrapping the pipes and blacking out the chrome) And this was my first bike also, bought two of them for 400 bucks, neither running or moving. It originally took me two weeks to make one road-worthy. Now I am tearing both down again and rebuilding one from scratch rather than just piecing together enough to get it on the road. I should probably sell her when I am done, but I don't want too... GF wants to do something with the paint on the tank, I intend to just prime it and hand the thing over, hopefully I will like what she does... -
The staff is mostly comprised of off-duty and retired LE and old school powder monkeys. You get the occasional tool (some ARE cops... LOL) but even the dumb one is a leap above anyone at a chain store. Also, if you are of the capitalist bent, they are a nice, local, established business that has served the community well for many, many years. (and it is the safest place on Cleveland ave South of 161...) Remember though, they are closed on Monday... I have gone there for years and STILL forget that sometimes... GRRRRRR.

Nice work, Ryan. Makes me wish I had something worth all the trouble... LOL Maybe I will just give the Yamaha a bath, I will tell her to thank you for it!

I just noticed this bar the other day. (ironically since I am moving from Dublin to the South end.... ) Decent joint then?? I will have to ride up for one of the bike nights, I still get into Dublin a lot.

First, grow a pair of..... No, really, I peed myself for a few thousand miles, still do every now and again. I imagine everyone else does too, and the ones who don't have lied about it... LOL Just ride in your comfort zone and let it come. Also, following others you trust is helpful since you can let them set the speed while you relax and let the muscle memory take hold. I tend to learn by doing it faster and faster until my tires start slipping, but I am what you generally call "stupid" so I don't really suggest it... Tracks are nice, but some of us have limited time and/or funds and would rather spend our money on toys and our time going somewhere... (Yes, I want to go to the track, and buy a bike worth taking... fuck you too... ) and I take the corners 5-10 over in a cage.... 4DAIVI said DOUBLE it, then subtract 5 or so...

No... the worst is when you are riding in the very, very, bitter-balls ass cold (like below 20F or so) and your nose starts running like the Niagara Falls.... Not only do you have snot flowing like a river down your face, over your lips, and soaking into your helmet, but as an added bonus you can't do SHIT about it since: 1) You are wearing two pairs of thick gloves and your hands are STILL too numb to work the visor. 2) Even if you get that visor open with your ham-fisted lack of dexterity you can't really wipe your nose with anything besides that frost encrusted hunk of dirty cow hide you are wearing to protect your poor, abused, chapped dickbeaters. 3) If you should actually get far enough to find out #2 all on your own, then you have also learned this one... Opening your face mask with a wet, snotty face, at 60+mph on a crisp 17 deg F day is a little like beating yourself in the face with a frozen salmon. Only with less omega fatty acids. 4) NOW you sneeze.... Enough said. Add to this a nasty hangover and a few hundred incompetent cagers, and you have my morning commute to work every morning this last winter....

Normally I tell people in this situation that bitchy girlfriends make big holes for you and your friends to dig later when they are dead, bitchy, ex-wives.... RUN! However, I am pussy whipped and my girlfriend says I can't tell you that now... (j/k, run for your life.) Really though it probably comes to some other stressing agent, like being in your new cohabitation and recently unemployed. (I can relate on this note.. and on the unnecessarily argumentative GF to be honest....) You can either identify and remove the stressing agent/situation, discuss the issue rationally and openly with your girlfriend (yeah, right, I know....) or leave/give an ultimatum. (You have to be ready to actually bolt if you do that last one, otherwise you will find yourself even more powerless than before....) Good luck, man... bargaining with the Devil is better than reasoning with a female...

Springfield XDs are nice... Get something that fits your hand and your intended use rather than for the looks or features though. I would heasitate to recommend a specific firearm without knowing how large of a person you are and what you want it's primary function to be. Vances is the best place to shop, great selection, good prices and the staff is generally competant. Lots of good deals on used firearms and LE trades. I have a Glock 23 .40cal for sale. Less than 500 rounds through it (owned Glocks for years, but this one specifically was purchased just for concealed carry and didn't see much range time) It already has trigger work (polished sear) 6 magazines (4 high cap), range bag, Fobus adjustable paddle holster, aftermarket adjustable sights and it is the new frame, so slides and rails for lights. I will let it all go for 550 bucks since I don't shoot it, I bought a smaller weapon for CCW now, and I want something new to play with. PM me if interested. (just fair warning, I do NOT deal well with punks and wanna be thugs... If someone other than a responsible adult asks to purchase my firearm, they may get a less friendly look down my barrel.... If you pick up my pistol and hold it sideways like a gangsta, I will beat you to death with the nearest solid object. Really.)
