  1. Good. Now find mine... I keep smelling fuel somewhere...
  2. I found this website the other day while googling... It has most of the GSXR service manuals including the Busas. Not the best quality and not searchable PDFs, but hey, what do you want for free. http://www.servicemanualsgsxr.com/
  3. one bar one beer one cigarette move on to the next what's your record?
  4. Holy crap. BRB, gotta run to the grocery... edit: btw, if pickle acids work that well, I would think white vinegar or similar would also.
  5. dunno... Saudi Arabia gearing up against Iran. Turkey on the Syrian border and threatening to invade. USA has double assets near both situations. Qaddafi won't quite leave Lybia. North Korean arms recently intercepted on the high seas headed toward Burma or similar. Cyber warfare continues. USA dot mil got hit hard last year, and it didn't make much news. Pick one or two. Stuff like this goes on all the time. And sometimes it's good to flex a little muscle.
  6. muhahaha... fix your fuel leak...it won't get better, and it won't fix itself...
  7. My clutch cable got so bad it quit moving. I bought a new one. It happened so slowly over time, I sort of didn't notice it till one day I realized it wasn't releasing, and I was actually pushing it. Bad.
  8. Guess my generation was different. It was more like... "you leaving? Ok, see ya."
  9. I bought my hydration paks on sale from JensenUSA in CA. Bicycle stuff, really, but big bargain on standard name brands. Bought two, both were last years model, so really cheap. One straight hydration and one with storage on it. I think they were only $20-30 each. I looked, there isn't anything real good on sale right now.
  10. I searched ohio code. I found nothing at all, one way or the other for small items that are found. Now in Japan, they generally never keep what they find. It either goes in the trash, or to the lost and found.
  11. ok, I retract previous... no sleeping bag, and IF she moves out, change the locks...
  12. They appear to be the same as my cb650sc. Only would flow more fuel. I could put them on for fun and see what happens. There was a cb700 of the same engine, and I think that's what they are.
  13. ok, got it. At some point I thought the Dayton was 84=87. That I wouldn't understand. My mistake. A brain fart.
  14. I see what Wadepenn means. The 9 is the Summer RVP. 9 pounds pressure, not 9 pounds density. Lower volatility to avoid vapor lock in the Summer. We're still not hitting on the original point he's making. The octane rating should not have changed. Changes to volatility or density shouldn't have altered the octane rating. Not if it was done right, and the RON system for octane rating is still in use.
  15. throw in a sleeping bag and quick change the locks on the doors...
  16. No fuel that I know of has a density of 9 lbs/gal US. (1078 kg/cu meter) That's close to the density of anti-freeze. (ethylene glycol). The highest I know of is Quadricyclene at 985 kg/cu meter. Gasoline is 702.5 kg/cu meter. this isn't counting mil-spec exotics that don't exist yet or not but that would be closer to rocket fuel anyway
  17. if you look at that list, it has a lot of Marathon stations on it. Perhaps one of the Marathon distributions will sell it.
  18. I have a friend that swears he paid back 20 bucks, that he didn't, and is a bit astounded that I absolutely refuse to give him any loans at all now. zero, zip, nadda...
  19. ok, technically it's not legal to keep things we find that are lost. There's actually a law against it, that no one pays any attention to...
  20. shit... go tell him you found it and you're keeping it for the $50 bucks he owes...
  21. Star Tron is an enzyme fuel treatment I'm not a big fan of any additives or treatments
  22. GSXR service manuals: http://www.servicemanualsgsxr.com/ Sadly, it does not show exactly where the cable runs. If it were a Honda manual, it would show exactly where the cables go. It appears from photos to turn down between the front forks, swing down and along the left side of the engine, to the clutch throw. But it's really hard to tell from just one or two pics of other stuff that might have the cable in view.
