Not every charity ride, poker run, memorial ride, etc. is managed the same. (Shameless plug inserted here . . . ) The charity ride I help to manage "The Helping Hands Charity Ride" is just that, a ride. I try to map out a 100 to 125 mile route, which the riders self manage. No bar stops. Once you sign in you can go out and ride at your own pace or ride with a group of friends. And we still work in a poker draw, 50/50, auction and meal at the end. Between the Dragon and the Snake, I prefer the Dragon. The Snake is still a nice ride though. But it is TN, just pick any road and enjoy! Backbone Rock, TN-133 in Cherokee National Forest.

Same thing happened to me a few years back at the old Cycle Search. I went in there looking for a Kawasaki I saw on the website. It had been sold, but I looked around and saw a VFR800 that really caught my eye. I asked a few questions about it and then asked for the test ride and that's when I got the "We don't allow test rides, you'll have to buy it and if for any reason you don't like it you can bring it back . . ." This sounded wrong to me so I walked. I ended buying a used VFR800 from Iron Pony and yes, I was allowed to test ride it before buying it.

I did see some of the threads mentioned, but I was specifically interested in someones first hand experience with eyeglasses. I have a pinlock so the shield is not an issue. I read the webikeworld article on Cat Crap, but like I said, other riders experience and recommendations go a long way. I'll give the Cat Crap a try. Thanks everyone.

For those who wear their eyeglasses while riding, what do you use to coat the lenses to keep them from fogging up?

I'm a big fan of Canon. Bottom line, their optics are superior. I've been using an Xsi for four years without regret. The basic package with two lenses is just that, basic. The additional lenses will set you back, but it's a great set up for starting out.

I contemplated the Gerbings when I bought my heated gear, but the price led me to the Tourmaster Synergy. This is my third season using Synergy gloves and vest and no complaints.
