Wow. Thanks for the followup Scruit. Another reason to NOT follow to closely in traffic on the highway! You need time to react to situations. I'm always afraid if I'm too close to traffic in front of me on the highway I won't be able to react to road debris if the car swerves out of the way of a chunk of tire or something at the last second, or worse yet, kicks it up at me! Glad he is gonna be okay.

RIP. Curious. The story says he tried to pass a car that ended up turning and he hit the side of the car. Guessing either it didn't signal or he just didn't see the signal. But looking at this pic, how did the windshield get a head shot if he hit the side, you can clearly see the side impact spot. Unless that's not a head impact on the windshield and just how the window shattered from the side impact??

Just went by the scene a few minutes ago. Black sportbike. No cars on scene. Two dublin police an a paramedic treating the rider. Not sure what happened.

^^^ So true. I saved a friend in trouble in high school in the hotel pool on a band trip to Florida. I didn't realize he was in serious trouble until I got close enough to him and he grabbed ahold of me and proceeded to shove me under and climb up me. I was able to kick him off of me and then grabbed him by the foot and pulled him to the side. Fricken crazy.

I use a quick "lap" around 270 as a "clear my head" quick fix. It gets me on the seat for a little bit, it lets me cruise at speeds that can be fun and it's right there, close to my house, so what the hell.

This is on my "to see" list. We tried to see it Friday night but it was sold out, ended up seeing Spiderman. Not bad, but wanted to see Ted.

I would have went with you if I saw this thread earlier. I like to ride 270. I rode it last night at 9:30p. Maybe next time.

I went out this evening at 9:30ish and I still sweat my balls off!

If I remember correctly I think there is some kind of electrical substation right there with a gravel driveway leading to, probably where the gravel came from, a service truck pulling out of there back onto the ramp probably dragged it out onto the ramp. Or I suppose a dump truck could have simply lost it too. BTW, glad you are okay! EDIT: Just looked on google earth, the substation I remember is on the other side of the road inside the cloverleaf when going 315 south to 270E.

Me too, maybe he explained it already but I didn't read the whole thread. Did you slip on some debris on the ramp or a slippery tar snake??

Calling an ambulance definitely get's an automatic police response as well, just ask Moose, they fuzz showed up when I called an ambulance for him .
