  1. I know nothing, so please inform me a little better. Is a lower chassis set-up not good on the track? I thought it was nice to have a lower bike on the track as long as the suspension is stiff. Nothing against yellow!......just a dig cause my x's favorite color was yellow, and he had a yellow gsxr.
  2. You been on the track with it? It's beautifully set-up. I like it, other than it's yellow.
  3. That's what it looked like at Indy gp this year. It's Incredible the weather that they raced in....not just rode in , but raced. On the last day, Sunday, conditions were at the worst. So, it's for sure possible, but the tires become even more crucial. Mind over matter helps also.
  4. I had my first service done on the gsxr about one month ago, b/c I knew I'd get some more ride time in prior to winterizing. The oil and filter were changed at that 600 mi. mark for the first service. I've put an additional 350 mi. on it before winterizing this weekend, but I will change the oil in the spring before riding. I've been told that the oil really should be changed to fresh coming out of storage, but it's whatever you want to do. I would rather give it the little extra maint than not....after all it's my baby. While on the oil topic, what do you Suzuki owners like when it comes to oil? What brand? I may just stick w/ Suzuki oil, but I would like to know what others are good too.
  5. Interesting one. I like that. Does it translate? I'm a blank slate, although I'd like to get a bellybutton ring oneday.
  6. it's really sharp...it should sell
  7. I don't have the patience, it makes me frustrated.
  8. About the brake lines and performance brake pads.....they have to fit my 08 gsxr 600 in order for me to buy them. That's if you are interested in selling?

  9. They are used, Fieldsheer brand, one piece leathers. They are wide in the shoulders, but not too bad on fit. I am 5'3'' and 118 lbs and the girl who sold them was an inch shorter and a few lbs weightier. She had been down on the track in them, but they only have scuffs. No tears or major flaws. Look around on the e-bay. I have seen custom made-to-measure stuff. It's not cheap though.
  10. For what it's worth my leathers are not too good looking either, but they were $99 on ebay. I got them over a year ago. I have only used them for one track day, so I figure untill I am a track junkie the ugly leathers do just fine. Don't feel bad about having to wear men's leathers....they aren't that much different looking at 100+ miles per hour anyways.
  11. I olny have 1k miles on my bike. I just got it. Wanting to put braided stainless steel brake lines on the front. Are you wanting to sell your braided steel lines? I don't have anything to trade with ya. What brand are the performance pads you have? I may be interested just to have them for whenever they need changed.
  12. Did you have to change your original brake lines along with the calipers also. I am just asking cause I would like to know about how long I have before I'll need to think about brake lines. I want to put stainless lines on the front at least.
  13. How many miles did you get on the prior brakes?
  14. Funny, but not that you said that to her. I was thinking for the rest of the gang. Better let them know what they are in for. Sounds like a good idea. I'd like to do 3 track days next season. We'll see. I'll edit this and add that it depends on if my husband has his job or not, if the IRS takes all our "fun money", and if we don't spend all our income on highly inflated chineese products and groceries between now and then. Other than that I don't see why I can't.
  15. :kneel:This is what happened last night.
  16. Oh it happened buddies. Why don't you show up next time and you can be the camera man for us. It was a great ride, but i don't think we have photos. I didn't take any.
  17. Gorgeous weather. We took in OH 212, 146, 9 & 664 to Scio, then 151 & 9 to Jewett, 9 & 146 to Amsterdam, 43 to Carrollton, 39, 542 and 183 back to Bolvar (via Dellroy). fun!
  18. Not me. That would be insane, but I'll say I've seen a few hard core riders come close to it. If all you do is twisties, but you have to slab to get there typically.
  19. It's great that you are doing some track time. You'll have so much fun! I did my first track day at Mid-Ohio with STT this past season and I fell in love. I had my Buell Firebolt XB9R at the time with Pirelli's on it. It was a great experience. I want to take my gixxer 600 next season and see how that goes. I tend to be slower in the tight corners too, but with the new GSXR600 I am finding more comfort. The bike seems to lean and hold a line easier than on the Firebolt. The tires I have now are the Battlax B16's. They came on the bike. No track time on them, but they feel great. Go with the track experts here. They seem to know a quality track tire. Have Fun!
  20. That's pretty good then! my bad.

    Did you vote?

Does it matter if a names at the top or bottom....come on now. We must be getting old. If you know who you're looking for, what's the dilemma. By the way.... on my vote machine McCain/Palin was at the top-right. I honestly didn't even see Obama/Biden on mine. ha!
  22. What's the price range you are wanting to stay in? For the best deal I think that Pirelli's last long (Pirelli Diablo's). I am now a huge fan of the Battlax 16 tires on my suzuki. They may not last long though??? The Pirelli's can hold their own on the track too. Never riden on a Conti or a Michelin power. I have never heard anyone complain about a Michelin Pilot Power other than they don't get high miles, but you'll have that with a sticky tire. Good luck!
  23. Well if you can make it we are going to meet at the Bolivar Dairy Queen/gas station off of 77 south around 2pm Tuesday. I know that one (possibly two) other/others from core are going to be there for sure. He will likely lead since he knows the area best. Anybody else is welcome. It will be fun. Post, send a message, or just show around 2:00pm. *Leaving for Bolivar in a few....hope to have a nice time*
  24. Hey man, I can backdown when I belive I am wrong in a situation, but I am sorry to say that I haven't felt wrong about my stand on this one. It's moral and factual that Obama/Biden have the wrong ideas for a free nation. I don't think that McCain/Palin are God sent either, but they are a trustworthy pair IN MY OPINION. My sincere prayers go out for this election as I tend to think that it is drastically going to shape the future of our personal rights and liberties. I will never tell anyone how to vote, but I don't mind explaining why I do what I do.
  25. That's the feedback I've gotten from many people I've spoke to about issue 6. It would be fine if they honestly take a look at fixing the cracks that will delapitate it's genuine purpose. (like it really has one) Anyways I am a NO vote this time, but not b/c I am against casinos.
