Need to get you some sport touring tires. I have a avon st in front (32 psi) and a conti road attack rear (38 psi). The front was from a previous set were the rear picked up a nail. Anyway the front has about 10k on it and still looks decent (probably will need replaced after this season) and the rear as about 7-8k and will probably need to be replaced after this season also, but with the power our bikes are putting out and proper psi you should be able to get at least twice the mileage i would say on the conti's or avons....imo of course. I might add that most of the miles on my bike came from commuting (last year - Ben & Judd) and occational twisties at least once a month for a couple hundred miles.

dude that sucks, but i hope you heal fast. I'd say fighter the bike, but thats only because i was thinking about doing to mine when i got a new bike in a couple years...outside that, i know you're on Kawiforums so your best bet would be to get with them on the parts.

I feel the same way. LOL!!! I was able to take my daughter out for the first time last night. She's a lot taller then my son and is able to easily reach around me to hold her hands together. She said she enjoyed herself which makes me happy, but she moved a couple times in the middle of a turn so i had to get on her about that, but it was her first time so we'll get that worked out and we'll be good to go. Both of them did really well and i hope they continue to enjoy it so we can go for some rides together. I have to get my wife a sissy bar for her bike so she will feel comfy with my son on the back of her bike, then a givi for me...$$$ in due time....
