What exactly are you talking about doing for 1.5 hours??
-
Yeah bud, reviews posted in the Sponsor section and he's done I think 20+ chain/sprocket changes just since he went on to open the store. Not counting before that. A+
-
I dont have a bike but I might even consider taking my fiance's step dad and father to this. He's WW2 vet so could be a good time.
-
Oh you know I'm going to be all over you like a spyder-monkey asking for help this season. Last year, I was still getting back into it, but this year, I should be good to at least not make you ride at a snails pace to tow me lol. Yeah, I'm going to be asking Dubguy's dad to help at Putnam too for sure. He's super cool and has helped me at some other places just talking in the pits.
-
Oh for sure, you know I love you Cocks, I mean Cox But yeah dude, come season time, we will have some quality pit times!
-
Yeah, I'm hoping not to raise their rates, just track prices. Make sure this year it's not $1.00 bills, and bring at least $5.00 bills.
-
Yeah, I plan to pull 2-3 shifts at the bar until our wedding, and that will be strictly race funds because stuff is getting tight financially next month with stuff needing to be paid and our honeymoon plans. Turns out hotels/chalet's in Switzerland aren't like Motel 8 for 39.99 a night.....

Yeah for 160, for sure worth it. Hopefully you'll never need it. I was pulling SJC's up to get his new tires this winter and def had to use the emergency brakes on his trailer when I hit a iced bridge on 71 going about 70mph. Not a good feeling at all. Only real issue I've ever had towing anything from 28TT to 12ft enclosed lol. Let me know how you like it, I bet it'll help with keeping the rear brakes on the truck from wearing too fast.
-
Gotcha, so you're actually adding trailer brakes to the trailer. Was that cost effecient vs buying a trailer with them? Just curious, my 6x12 V nose doesn't have brakes, but with my truck don't plan to ever put them on either. Wondering if they are truly needed or if its juts $$ you could use other places. Anything from a 6x12 single axle down I honestly feel if someone is towing with a F150/1500 or more, they don't need them. Once you hit 14 though, I think they are worth it even if just a piece of mind.

Bump seasons here!! Still got these, and I need them out of my basement.

I might as well chime in as someone who has taken the help from all the above mentioned at MS last season, Mid O, etc. I went from running slow Int last season to running a very confident, steady mid to lead Int within about 2 days working with these guys, sometimes one on one. A few examples, Craig helped me at Nelson and I shaved over 4 seconds off in 3 days, I know it doesn't sound like much, but with him towing me, and playing leap frog etc, I was able to pick up steady lines, to do race school and be told that I was fine to run the race and complete it to get a normal license. Now I'm not racing to win or place YET, but I do plan to be this season. Mid O, I had Nick work with me and was able to shave about 2 seconds in 1 night, Twilight series. I feel pretty confident on the track now, and know that I am predictable, safe, and know how to run with the fast guys, just not as fast. I think you guys will be fine so long as you are like Brian mentioned a "sponge" or at least can retain some knowledge, I mean, I even started a notebook for things that I take with me to the track. I don't care how nerdy I look, I take notes, and jot things down almost everyday. It may be something Im told, something to work on, a turn I run wrong, or just a random thought I need to work on. This season Im hoping to work some with Brian as I progress, but need to get faster first. The biggest thing I've seen that helps is simply seat time. It's what makes us learn. Im also about to start reading Twist the Wrist 1 and 2, no homo. So hope to pick a few things up on that. Off to the BMV to get the track/race bike title swapped to my name, never did that 2 years ago LOL. Wish me luck!

With Ford if you dont have 2 keys already, you can't program a 3rd. So you have to pay and last time I had to do it, that was 125, not 85. Maybe Volvo is different, but both my F150 and my moms Edge lost keys and had to get a 2nd done AT ford for 125. Good luck, but I don't think you can do it without the 2nd key.

Tyler, that's what i meant, a fuse just to ensure it doesn't transfer back etc. For instance, on my TT, I always unplug it from the truck when we park, even if Im using battery power(which if plugged in will pull from the truck just like a 4pin). Yeah if you are set up for a 7pin already, then just toss the battery with an inline fuse and you are good to go. Actually mine is just one of those tube fuses with a split off the 7 pin 12V line, like 2tall. posted. Sounds like you're good to go really. Also Ive never run anything more than a general brake controller, like 50-75$ model. Some places try to sell like all this high tech stuff, and honestly, I don't beleive for a second you need it. Is you F150 wired with the plug under the dash by OBDII plug? Like where you can just buy/use Ford provided plug, and just wire it real fast etc. Had that on my F150 and it was awesome, dad does too. My F250 came with a brake controller built in so that was nice too. Anyways, if you have any ?s on those let me know too, I've installed from the battery back once on an F150, tapping the correct wires etc. In your case I believe any F150 now has the wiring in place so long as it has a the tow package/hitch.

Ew, maybe leave that out..... -
Let's go this route because it's really a toss up depending what all you run. On my TT I can run a fridge for about 4 hours at min setting on a similar battery. I can also run the water pump for about 2 days on and off on the same battery. You should be fine, BUT if your trailer isn't wired for that already, there is more to do then just slap a 7 prong plug on there. 7 prongs are made more for trailer brakes then just running a charge back to the battery. Actually, I think you will need to do more then just swap the plug, I forget the name of what needs to go between the battery and the plug, but basically like a convertor, but not. Sorry, long day. If you really want, just charge the battery before you leave, and add an aux. plug in to the 4 prong between truck and trailer and hook it up that way. Sorry man, I can't think straight, so my jargon is a tad scattered.

Hm, interesting, may have to rethink a few things lol. The Pure's I have no definitely have some time left on them, and would be fine at Putnam after Jenning's all lefts Putnam all rights. -

Hey buddy, no didn't ditch that idea just got a real good deal on a set of commercial one's from Grey. I told him I was still looking to run race tires by the end of the season and would want to see what people were saying on the Race Dunlops you suggested stepping up to along with the new Power One races, and go from there. He thought a good mid tire would be the commercials. I still plan to have my genny and hope to have picked up a set of warmers by then, but may need to borrow that set of warmers just for the Putnam weekend. Todd is selling Woodcrafts for 342 through Motoseries so I was planning to get those the following weekend. ?? -
Update; the mowers at my fiance's work decided to cover her car in grass clippings last week, most of them came off on the highway drive home, so that's a plus. No rain since then, or anything out of the ordinary, but everything still looks shiney and clean. Washing it this weekend with the new Meguires wash and wax Ultimate too. Stuff is pricey but I used it on my old car and it made water bead on a 93 that had never seen wax once. Hoping to do my truck this weekend or some of it at least, and it sits outside 24/7 due to size.

I'll probably have my genny just in case we want some tunes and fans etc. It's going to be amazing out just like Jennings was, so naturally our canopy for MyKill and I. What time is cuddle time start Friday? I figure we should arrive about 9-10pm, so it will need to be a quicky. MyKill, you still got the rubber sheets from Cox? I will bring the gerbils. -
Me too boss. I was like WTF are you doing with 5 teeth changes unless you are really changing up something big internally lol.

Man no front brake rotors, I think I wanna pick up a spare set of fronts and get them machined to new.... GLWS
