Apch8r has tons of meat to go around? Wait, no homo. Nah messing, Im not sure what our arrangments will be, some of the Cbus guys are doing race school, personally I want to run Saturday, relax and chill Sunday and learn from the guys racing, then run again Monday. Anyone staying for all that? If I am camping I will need a trailer spot, and bring my 28foot TT all inclusive style. Naturally I have some room for peeps to crash, obviously the one who hauls my bike, and then some people if they want, just ask for a few bucks for costs of the diesel, and generator/propane fuel. I have a 39 gallon fresh water tank and can bring 55 drums full if people want to use that shower but I think Nelson has those covered. Anyways, will know more closer to. -
Andy, you thinking about May 16th? I am since I was going to stay up there the 15th anyways since all you are doing the race school etc. If you want to do it, let me know.

Yeah like I said, I know a lot of people that are talking about doing it this season etc, but I want to make sure the $$ and credits are spent well and a lot of knowledge is gained. Hell, if I dont feel ready running solid in Int I still wouldn't even think about it. Maybe late season, maybe not. I don't feel like dropping a ton of coin to learn to race safe if I can't run top Int. mid-top Adv. I guess I did talk to my friend back home 2 years ago in depth about all of this too, so he prepped me for everything and time frame. He won 2 classes last year at Mid O the weekend of the AMA races and placed 3rd or 4th in the open, so I really value his opinion. Actually time to facebook message him for some more pointers on some of the tracks I signed up for. -

Oh i totally agree bro about racing, that is what all of us want/plan. But for instance Dubguy has done, I would bet atleast 20 track days and is just now taking a race school(same weekend) same with Ducati(josh). Twisted has done I believe 12+ track days, 2 this season already, along with his wife, and they are still not totally wanting to do a race school quite yet. I may be incorrect on them for the record, as they are very solid out there, not insulting anyone here. Personally I have 3 on my list and won't be doing a race school until at least June, if not later. Again, Im not being trying to talk you out of it, BUT I want to make sure you have truly experienced what you get from a track day before getting into a class setting along with a "mock race" which I hear can at times be a dick measuring contest, well everything is on 2 wheels lol. Like I said I usually talk to people who have been at it for awhile, Apch8r, Dub, Twisted, etc. I did my track days before some of them had actually hit a track, took a year off, and now they are about 100 times better than I am, and I trust all of them with everything I do. I listen to them and ask them questions, I take their advice etc. Not to mention I just picked up my new track bike so I figure I need a few track days to truly feel it out and see what it can do. Probably going to just gauge this season as I go. When I quit for a year, I was on the verge of getting bumped to Int. my 2nd track day at Mid O with STT, and then hit Putnam 1 more time. Got a DUI and took 12 mos off to dump my RC51 and get a track only bike. Now I feel I will run Novice, mid pack first day, then move to Int. then take a race school. I could be wrong, but until atleast hitting Int. if not Adv. a race school isn't something that will be a huge benefit like just getting on the track. My opinion is definitely not something like KTM Brians, or Dub, or Red, etc. so they can definitely clarify on top of what I am saying, I just want you to really get your $$ worth. I learned more with STT in 2 days than I did in 2 years of riding before. -

I might be a little out or just confused but race school on your second/first full track day/weekend? Isn't that putting the carriage in front of the horse? I know a few people have been tracking for 2-3 yrs and still haven't signed up/done one. Just making sure that is the best route to go for ya man. -

Dude fucking badass, end of story. I believe that is the 5.56 SAW, which is just nasty in all accounts. -
Yeah, Andy and I talked today, we are on the same schedule with everything. Rain=no go.

Man I keep seeing all these people from Oak Harbor, Marble Head, Port, Danbury, etc and remember my college days spending every summer weekend up there partying and living life as Kid Rock would have wanted. Area is flat and straight but so beautiful. Can't wait to head up a few times this summer too, just not like the old times. We stay next to Harbor Winds, technically right behind Big Boppers, have been for the last 10 years of my life and hope it never changes.
-
Pictures of said party or it didnt happen. Do they get to try these things on each other, because if so I'd really like to see that.

Cops sure as shit can pull you over in the left lane and cite you in ohio, but they never will. In NH, NJ, PA(used to not sure now), it is an actual law that anyone in the left lane not passing will be cited no ?s asked. In NH on the freeways they have signs stating this every few miles. Personally I think it is total bullshit when someone rides in the left lane and just hangs there. My GF does it and I bitch non stop about it. When I am in my Del Sol I will ride their asses, flash my highs, and then flick them off, or at least give them the utter look of retard disbelief. In my 250 I just floor it and get around them and them I slam on my brakes. That is my biggest pet peave on the highway period. If every cop would do what that guy did, the roadways would make way more sense.

Screw the facilities, they just repaved the track. It looks like rain both days from everything I've seen, BUT I like your forecast minus the temps better. This will definitely be a game time decision here.
-
Yeah I wont be paying until day before/day of for these. Weather looks awful other than this coming Monday and Tuesday. Not taking chances on traveling 5 hrs and paying 285...

Way to think positive! Don't forget Grattan is in MI, not OH, so that is helpful. -

Yeah Novice here, figure might as well start lower than get in over my head. Not to mention new bike, setup, etc. the last thing I want to do is be stupid. If Grattan goes well next weekend I will see what I think about Nelson. -

Steve let me know if you plan to go in May. I am in, but looking to split costs with someone coming up from here. Figure being local helps with loading etc. Thanks bro. -
Hell, I just put on my 56 Astar that I had to trade up from my 54 Astar and it crushes the junk and unfortunately the chest and shoulders are a bit wider than it is really made for, so gotta wear it around the house and stretch it out. And need to get on the bike with it on and ride to really get the feel for the positioning. I did not have my underarmor on so that will compress slightly, but as a whole, i just have a different body type and have yet to find a company that makes a suit perfect to me. I still have to have my gf pull one arm of the suit off to get started removing it. Too stiff being new, and needs some good wear time and a little sweat to loosen up lol.

Like. Andy of course, I was kidding, you know I heart you.

Remember if Andy is in, Im out. He smells. JK, I am loving this idea.
