Friendly reminder, riding wheelies on a highly traveled 2 lane road with a speed limit of 55 probably isn't the brightest idea. So if you were with the toolshed that was riding wheelies today about 7pm on Alton Darby in Hilliard please just stop. If you hit my truck head on, I may feel like I hit a bug, possibly a cat, nothing more. You however will be dead, I would rather that not happen. Come on people, I doubt it was anyone here, but let's pass the reminder around not to be a fucking moron. Mmmmkay, thanks.

Yep, I had same thing happen with a Champion genny. Sent me 1 when I just ordered the wheel kit for $50.00. I emailed them, never heard back. Sold it on Craigslist and bought another wheel kit. You did what you could.
-
You know what, there is now that I think about it! Great idea, I hadn't thought of that.

That;s an option too, which I usually do on anything that has fuel on/off. Onan doesn't, and I always end up with a ton of fuel in my tools at the end of the season so rather than run it for hours I just use the additive. I do cut off the fuel to my home generator though.
-
FWIW, Startron fuel additive is awesome. Used it over the winter in our Onan which is notorious for carbs going bad during even 1 storage season, and thing has fired up twice no problems. I added more treated fuel last night and only use 89 or above with additive each tank, but that stuff works. I'll be running a can of Stabil through it when we go off the grid camping over Memorial day weekend and then continue but all of the above works very well. Especially since it's several hundred bucks to get a new carb done.

So wait, you mean my wife doesn't want to deal with anything besides work and our son? Ahhhh it all is making sense now.
-
Yep, we've been doing that for years at the track with the plywood, or firewood usually and trucks. Actually funny Yammy story, we had been running our race rig, think Neyra's new rig on roids, with a 6500 Yammy genny, not invertor, older bigger style, thing would never work right at the big races where we park in the infield pits. Only would work when we had plenty of airflow and space to dispense heat. Obviously it was overheating, replaced it with a Generac from Lowes or HD, whoever. Never had another issue, going on 3rd season with it, no over heating, nothing. I could never imagine spending something like some of these cost for something I don't use constantly. However, after having towed a separate generator around in my truck bed with the old TT, garage with the TH, I will never buy a toy hauler again without a built in generator. Even if it was a normal 5th wheel camper it would have to have an onboard generator. Granted I already have my 3500 at home, and plan to do a dedicated whole house eventually, but after having an onboard this time in the toy hauler, it's a must from here out. Plus I can buy a lot of 3500's for the price of some of these lol. Our car owners do run an inverter if we don't have to run AC at camp now, OLD Honda 1000, powers fridge, hot plate, water pump on their trailer, and our toy haulers genny is pretty quiet since its tucked under the bedroom and in a compartment so we don't worry about that either.

Yeah, my fear is me not being home and the wife blowing stuff up or killing a lineman. They are much cheaper on Ebay, I think like 50-75 bux shipped. I could just build it myself I guess, I mean it's a simple piece that your paying for basically, I think I will do that instead. What you did is what my uncle did, but his wife is much alert to that kinda thing compared to mine lol.
-
You have propane or NG at the new place? Grab a dual fuel or propane conversion if you have access, I would imagine its propane out there. Run a T and long hose 25' on Ebay/Amazon, and done. Power everything. Way cheaper than a "whole house" setup. That's what my uncle did, but his is NG tapped into their house line, left outside full time and plugged in full time. Transfer switch in basement runs all the big stuff and select plugs/lights. Granted this is like a 4,000 sqft house so the "big" things are really big lol. Also; This is what Bowdogs electrician bubby told me to get when I want to do mine; http://www.interlockkit.com/squareDmain01.htm

That 125ish was picked UP from store and delivered/brought into house right? Menards has a killer deal on a closeout safe, most stores only have 1, but its 28 gun Stackon for 477 after all rebates and the store credit of 11%, which I blow the day I get it anyways so thinking about pulling the trigger. I think I will call for a quote because the closest Menards is a solid 15 miles from my house. They are 500lbs so not sure how I would get it out of my truck, that being the only concern.
-
Ah, bare hands, missed that part sorry. I only rode in full armored gloves, somewhat for that reason. Glad it didn't come to anything more than what you're reporting but yeah, if you have his tag call the police for sure. Coming on here and complaining won't do jack, needs to be a formal complaint.
-
Just go to TSC and get the Champion for 299 and be done with it. Actually I think they sell them for 279 new now, which is a STEAL!

Exactly, I ain't trying to be the silent type if my power is out, theirs is out, and so is everyone else's, and I am the only one with a generator. When they come asking to borrow it or run a cord, sure, but don't cry when my stuff is "loud". FWIW, I along with so many people here have the Champion 3500 and it's not loud. I don't care what anyone says on any forum or anything. 25 ft extension cord and you will never miss a race call, never miss any announcement, or have any issue talking to someone 10 feet away. We had a 5500 HF one that was loud but wasn't an issue for camping and putting it between 2 trucks forming sound barriers. I have the Champion 2000ish invertor from Costco/Sams and it's quite as can be and super solid and was 499 out the door. Which is about normal for that unit and it can be run in parallel. I would much rather get 2 of those plus the kit for the price of 1 yammaha, but that's just me. Then again, generator opinions are like A holes, everyone has one.

Yeah dude, I would've recommended breaking it. Regardless if it took more tries.

FS: 1989 Sea Ray 268 Sundancer with twin 205hp Mercruiser 4.3L 4BBL

That is the one thing I haven't been able to get out of him because I think he forgot and he doesn't have the batteries at the boat, since it hasn't run in so long. I know they are low, and I know he has always had the maintenance done early, and is way over the top on that kind of stuff. Basically he had some health issues, got married, and had more health issues, so the boat sat for years as he paid on it. Now his storage facility is closing down and he's ready to unload it. I don't think you know me, but those that do know how anal I am about my truck, race bike when I had it, trailers, etc. This guy is stupid OCD, like there are times I can't even be around him because he is so meticulous. He has a Dodge 2500 that he literally uses a tooth brush on the undercarriage after he drives it, even in the summer. Which is 1-2 times a year. I gotta talk to him and just buy the truck, F it. I'm going to see him Friday and ask if he can get down there and find out this weekend because I would want to know that too. But I am pretty positive they are low, and if they aren't they were super taken care of, that I can attest to. I didn't tell you this, but he also has Ford Dually for towing that I can get included for asking price I think, just for people on here. -
Yeah, insane.

1989 Sea Ray 268 Sundancer with twin 205hp Mercruiser 4.3L 4BBL. Custom canvas work with 6' 8" headroom under all screens, windows, and extra height on the windshield. Comes with LORAN, RADAR, and Video installed. Installed fishing equipment includes 4 Rivera Downriggers, Triple super skis with removable mounting board and Big Jon mast(300 ft. line each). Cannon temp, light, speed sensor unit, Perko stainless rod holders, all come installed. The stereo is upgraded with Blaupunkt and Rockford Fosgate. Additional boat features are; Built in docking lights, cabin and cockpit area custom heat provided from engines, aft cabin fold down dinette and V-Berth, stove, alcohol and 110V fridge, head and shower. Many other unlisted boat items and upgrades are included. Must see to appreciate, boat is pristine and will be ready for viewing Memorial Day weekend. Boat is located in Stoutsville, OH area and has been stored inside when not in use since day one. Trailer is a 1990 100% custom built gooseneck tri-axle trailer with 21,000lb total capacity. Trailer has integrated toolbox with tons of diamond plate trim. Asking price includes trailer, and trailer is NOT for sale separately unless boat is sold or included in asking price. NADA on boat is over $26,000 with far less upgrades and customization than what is included in this package and without figuring in cost of a 100% custom built heavy duty trailer. Boat price is quoted and sold "AS IS", it has been in storage for 12 years and has not been on the water or out of storage in that time. Clean, Free & Clear Title in hand. K, this is my FIL's boat, if you think I take care of stuff, he's more anal than I am, and his OCD is almost insane. So thing is clean as a whistle I am sure. With that said, I have NOT seen it. It hasn't been run in like 17 years, and it's sold AS IS, guessing needs new gas, and new batteries. But I would assume other than that, nothing else. Price is $20,000.00 which includes the trailer. The trailer alone was more than that and I think he said the boat was like 65K new, who knows. Anyways, you can post here or PM me if you have questions. http://columbus.craigslist.org/boa/5009105519.html Sorry no inside pics but there are custom covers on everything, no one has even sat on the stock material, and inside is spotless.

You aren't allowed to have the horse Jbot. I know what would happen to it.

Should Concealed Carry Firearms Be Allowed On Campus?
madcat6183 replied to Casper's topic in Dumpster
I don't disagree with you, I was drunk all the time. BUT I also made a lot of good decisions when sober. I made my fair share of bad drunk ones, but it was NEVER to carry. I do like the last sentence you have there, probably one of the best in a long time on here. -
Should Concealed Carry Firearms Be Allowed On Campus?
madcat6183 replied to Casper's topic in Dumpster
Serious question; Is this even a question? Absolutely should be. Makes no sense at all why colleges are a no carry zone, really any soft target doesn't make sense to me, but whatever. I had my CCW in college and carried in my car and fraternity house, just for storage in the house though. -
Don't disagree with that. BUT, let's not use them just to make things "right" in the eyes of others if they were not in the wrong. Hopefully people actually let the system play out for once and maybe stop ruining their own communities....

I would not want to be in Baltimore right now or at all this weekend or for a while to come.
-
I do, I also probably should have donated to repair some tire marks through the wooden fence when we got there too late one Friday and just had to move a few fence pieces and then replace. It was super soggy that weekend but I made sure to drive easy and not tear crap up. I know Todd was looking for "that guy".

Anyone here personally went to the Isle of Man TT?
madcat6183 replied to MidgetTodd's topic in Dumpster
I will be going when our kids are older. Wife already approved us going as a family for one of our Euro trips. No MT, 2 and 1 isn't old enough for me to convince her to let me go next year. We most likely will be doing the camper van route and all that jazz. -
Think he's a franchise and no brick/mortar for him. I know he travels A LOT, like almost weekly, 3-4 days a week. But always home for Fri-Sun. Single dad with 2 kids living with him so must do pretty well. They are old enough to stay home alone obviously. Nice cars, dresses nice, and very polite, just don't see him often. I mean I think its a good idea, never know, could be the next pampered chef.
