  1. Where you guys plan on holding has more bearing in my world than date. I'm not riding to Columbus again, It's just way to boring of a ride imo. If I'm riding somewhere it has to be fun or it's not worth it.
  2. BTW I'm most likely meeting up with ScottB, Drak and anybody else who wants to at Vrooman rd. and 90. Time hasn't been discussed yet and my attendance is subject to change if one of two things happen. My wife has to work or it's raining.
  3. You might as well work it in at the end. If timing works out for a stop there then sure why not.
  4. No 666 or Longhouse scenic dr. Looks like you guys had a good time. Sorry I missed it. Kosmo that burger makes me sick to just look at. I don't think I would have wanted to watch you eat it.

    Ride

Fail! What ever happened to a Twin ride?
  6. Good link Kosmo! I went 2 years ago with the vtwin cruisers. It was cold and rainy but a nice ride. The gravel roads we were on were not that bad. If the Harley guys can ride in the rain on a dirt road you should be able to also. I wanted to go last year but skipped out the day of. Parade pace kills me. Doesn't have to be fast just not 10 mph under the speed limit. Anyways if all works out I will be there for this ride.
  7. Seafoam from what I understand is not alcohol based like stabil. Sea Foam Uses in Fuels Sea Foam Motor Treatment #’s SF-16 (16 ounce), SF-128 (gallon container) and SF-55 (a 55 gallon drum) is used as a fuel additive in Gasoline, Ethanol Blends, Gas/oil mixes & ALL Diesel fuels. This includes all brands and grades of available fuels. When added to these fuels, Sea Foam Motor Treatment was specifically designed to safely do five (5) important tasks for you. They are: 1. Lubricates upper cylinders, fuel pumps, turbochargers, drawn-through superchargers, and related fuel system and exhaust system components. Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a 100% blended petroleum product. That means Sea Foam is OIL, so adding Sea Foam to ANY fuel adds lubricity to fuel system components and upper cylinder areas of your engine. 2. Dries fuel system moisture. Sea Foam Motor Treatment contains an oil component that acts as a co-solvent to effectively neutralize moisture when Sea Foam Motor Treatment is added to any of the above-listed fuels. This helps to eliminate moisture-related problems like diesel fuel gelling and rough idling. 3. Cleans gum & varnish fuel residues from fuel system components. Sea Foam Motor Treatment contains an oil-based high-detergent cleaner that liquefies old fuel residue and allows the contaminants to be filtered out in the manner designed by the engine manufacturer. 4. Cleans carbon deposits from combustion chamber. Sea Foam Motor Treatment’s exclusive formula is blended specifically to clean carbon out of the engine as the engine is run. This is accomplished by our cleaning oil formula described in #3 above, which dissolves the old sticky fuel residue that holds the carbon particles that accumulate over time. Once the varnish residue is liquefied, the carbon particles are free to be safely blown out of the engine through the exhaust system. 5. Stabilizes fuel. Sea Foam Motor Treatment adds volatility to fuel and slows down the rate at which that fuel loses its ability to properly burn. When added to fuel and the fuel is in properly sealed containers or fuel systems, Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a fuel stabilizer for up to 2 years. Always run the engine for a long enough period of time to assure the Sea Foam Motor treatment has been drawn through the entire system fuel system for complete protection. 8. I've been told a lot of things. One of these days I'll get a front triple stand but until then this is what I do and it's staying that way.
  9. Seafoam in a full tank of gas with trickle charger on battery, bike on the rear stand parked on foam underlayment I had left over from doing the floors. All in a garage that's heated when I'm out there.
  10. Do it! If you do 2-3 weeks if the weather stays like this the leaves should look good. There are many hotels/motels along the route. It should be easy to find an affordable place to stay. I wouldn't recommend making the round trip unless you have heated gear or like that kind of riding. Last night I had realized I had 200+ miles to go and it was dark and chilly. By 11:00 in Youngville Pa. I made my first gas stop it was pretty cold. I don't have heated gear just my Teknic pants, touring coat, gloves and helmet. Then rode home from there till 1:30, fuel light on pulling in the garage.
  11. No some people were playing with their dogs on the other side of the creek. I saw a picture so I took it. Here is the route if I remember correctly. Just in case anyone wants to know. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Mercer+St%2FUS-62&daddr=Colonel+Drake+Hwy%2FPA-36%2FRte-36+to:PA-36%2FRte-36+to:PA-949+to:PA-120%2FRidgeway-Saint+Marys+Rd+to:PA-120%2FRte-120+to:PA-120%2FRte-120+to:PA-555%2FRte-555+to:Bucktail+Trail+Hwy%2FPA-120+to:1st+Fork+Rd%2FPA-872+to:PA-872%2FRukgaber+Route+104+Ave+to:South+from+Viewpoint+to:E+Main+St+to:41.709727,-80.573959&geocode=FbjsdgIdIAo6-w%3BFYC0eAIdYsND-w%3BFSBxdgIdcxRI-w%3BFQrwdgIdIrtK-w%3BFXn9dwIdropQ-w%3BFdnUeAIdHgBU-w%3BFQtYeQIdDPZV-w%3BFSmMdgIdvoJU-w%3BFWuGdwIdgUdX-w%3BFdDWdwIdz3lZ-w%3BFch2ewIdWn5Y-w%3BFXlzewIdjRRi-yFV9MzQOh480Q%3BFUqVfgIdu85F-w%3B&hl=en&mra=mi&mrcr=3&mrsp=13&sz=10&via=2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10&dirflg=h&sll=41.786673,-80.231781&sspn=0.586729,1.023102&ie=UTF8&ll=41.574361,-78.859863&spn=2.354581,4.092407&t=h&z=8
  12. In the photo album- http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t132/mdnd777/Ride%20Ohio%202009/ Thanks
  13. Some of you might not know Passintru, some may. IDK. He is a friend of mine from RO. Here is my post from over there. If anyone who reads this is headed on the ride next weekend into Pa may I suggest riding 949. It's a gorgeous side thru Cooks forest and shouldn't be missed if your in the area. Passinthru and I ended up heading deep into the wilds of Pa. I started on the road at 8:30 am. to meet Passinthru by 11 in Sandy Lake Pa. Got there about 1/2-3/4 early so I stopped in at the local diner and had sausage gravy, biscuits, and a coffee. Met up with Passinthru at the gas station across the street and headed down 62 to 36 and made our first stop of many at Tionesta lake. So from there we ran 36 down to 949. 949 is a real nice road. It's a little rough in spots but the scenery riding thru Cooks Forest and other Forestry area is great. So off 949 we hooked up with 120 still going east. After this I have a hard time remembering the route. Maybe Passintru can elaborate on where we were next? All in all it was a great ride. It was a little longer than expected but worth ever mile. Even freezing my ass off on the way home down rt.6 for 200+ miles and didn't start heading back till after 8:00 and good Elk burger at a local restaurant. On to the pics. I took 70. Some good, some bad, playing around with angles and stuff. Feel free to check my album and comment as you please. This ride was not for the faint of heart. Not an aggressive paced ride but we covered a lot of pavement and enjoyed every minute of it. http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t...20Ohio%202009/ Thanks again Mark! Totals for the trip Miles- 631.7 door to door. Time- 17 hours on the road. A couple of my favorite shots. At a pull off on 120 Marks little secret on 555 The Canyon
  14. How it going? There is talk about coming over you way c/k this thread. http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=33529 I'm thinking of riding over Sunday or maybe for this ride. Idk. I really want to make a ride over to the Grand Canyon of the east this Sunday but maybe not.
  15. Can't you just break the filter loose and drain some oil from there?
  16. I'm going to stay home also. Spent to much money at the bar last night Have fun ya'll!
  17. I'll know more tomorrow but as of right now I'm interested.
  18. I didn't hear anything wrong with that speech. Just what I expected.
  19. Do you have a garage with rafters? If not I heard of people using a step ladder. Use ratchet straps to suspend the rear off the ground by the sub frame. Take the old links off and put the new ones on. I'm all set up with this from doing several rear shocks if you wanted to come up my way I will show you how to do it. It really a pretty easy job. I don't have a welder so I can't help with the stand. But it sounds like you can take care of that yourself.
  20. From what I have seen on the News is it is going to be the regular speech. Like you said, stay in school and study hard. I have no problem with that myself. It's the President and for a kid that should be exciting even if I don't agree with his political decisions. link I found real quick. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5ib8qja0qqnnbZFsHF7kP6GV9XVfQD9AGN3DG1 We will see. Like I said before my kids will watch it if it's on at school. If they have questions, I will ask, I'll try to do my best to explain my point of view as my point of view. They know people don't always agree but it's most important to know what your agreeing with and why.
