  1. Thanks Bucks they do the job.
  2. Nice set ups you guys posted. I was a landscaper for 15 years in the Geauga county snow belt up until 2 years ago. Mostly just 3/4 ton pick ups, 1-1 1/2 ton dumps, skid steers and loaders. Over the years I have used all kinds of equipment. The best rig I ever used was a Blizzard Power plow, Stainless Swenson Spreader, hooked up on a GMC 4500. The living in the truck and the shop for days at a time and working almost every Christmas and New Years just got way to old. It's a harder job on the mind and body than most would think. Expecially when you have a mix of residental and commercial. The last 7 years I was doing a parking lot down off E.152 which had a Social Security office along with the residental routes. Those people in charge of that office where the biggest Pita I have ever had to deal with. I have to say some times I miss plowing. Majority time no so much.
  3. Here's another one. I don't post there but it is where I heard about that photo shoot I went to. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/neo_motorhead_society/

  6. Paid some bills. Seems like that's all I ever spend money on nowadays.
  7. Mine is the C-clamp style. *edit* This is about the same as the Hf one I have. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&navTitle=Tools/Shop&webCatId=22&webTypeId=140&prodFamilyId=16404&stockId=136140
  8. I would suggest a cheap Valve compressor tool at Harbor Freight and it has worked well on a couple quads I rebuilt a while back. Haven't used it on the bike yet. Might have paid $20 if that.
  9. - didn't mean leaving just wanted to be done with this thread. If I keep getting quoted I'll keep answering. I can't wait till I actually meet some of you guys to see how perfect you all must be. Maybe I can be holier than thou like some of you portray yourselves to be.
  10. Thanks! From you it doesn't mean anything though.
  11. Yeah the 4 day thing is stupid but whatever. Forgot about that. Changing pages isn't going to make anything shorter. Same number of posts right? Like I said I vented and now I'm done. Bye, Bye now.
  12. Give me a break! I don't need advise on gear, trust me. Call him out personally (PM) or make a new damn thread if his safety/legality is that important. Plus safety is not the primary goal in my view from what I read. It's more of a do what I tell you attitude, I'm smarter than you, nothing better to do or who can over do the last post. To me that's pathetic. Screw it, I'm done. If you want to take up this conversation Pm me but frankly I could give a shit. I read what I read and it gets old thread after thread.
  13. I just wanted to answer the question and read the comments. I'm well versed in the forum thing. Thanks for the help though.
  14. It's like every thread around here. It gets old reading through 12 pages bashing to get to the topic. Just had to vent a little. My purpose of "calling out" was to stay on topic not to change the topic. Big difference imo.
  15. This thread is pathetic! Why can't people just answer the damn questions and be done with it? Forget it! I already know......... It's the OR web thug way. Pathetic!
  16. Personally I have had good luck with both my textile jackets. My JR Ballistic 5.0 (Touring 3/4 length) survived my low speed low side with out much more than a couple scratches. I still wear it as my primary spring/fall coat. The other I have was a bargain ($60) Teknic regular length coat. It has been plenty comfortable for the summer months. Never been down with it but seems to have good protection. It's all up to you in the end. If you ride like some I hear about on here you might want to go leather. If you're more of a sport touring rider vs. road racer I would get a textile. The choice is yours. Personally I would never wear mesh but that's just me. I've seen enough shred on impact to figure it's a waste of money.
  17. I buy it at my local Ace Hardware by the paint thinners and mineral spirits in gallon metal cans.
  18. Like Connerot said, I use an old windex bottle for the kerosene. When it's time to clean. I come back from a ride spray it down, scrub it, spray again, let dry overnight, spray chain wax the next day.

    Dogs

Dogs are all about initial time and effort. First 2 years are crucial. Especially with certain breeds. Little dogs and I don't work or I would consider taking them. Good luck finding them a home.
  20. Sure I'll sell mine for the right price. Maybe something like $1,000,000.
  21. Nope it's on you to have what you need. All they give you is a 200cc bike to ride.
  22. First off welcome to the site. My suggestion for a bike would be, go out sit on some beginner type bikes and see what's most comfortable for you. Ride a couple if you can and keep an open mind. There is something out there for everybody. Along the lines of a mentor. Right now I'm healing up from shoulder surgery and not riding very much. Basically parked for the season. I do plan on going for a little ride Saturday to see how it feels. If it's good Sunday I might ride out to Deerfield to meet up with some friends for an early lunch. Either way I would be more than happy to give you what little advise I have and help you get to know your machine once you get one. Really the best thing for you is the MSF and plenty of seat time riding your own pace. There are some good books to read over the winter like Proficient Motorcycling by David L. Hough. It will guide you in some of the best ways to go about learning your machine and the situations and hazards you might come across on your rides. Of course nothing teaches you like being in those situations. If you want to get together some time and BS or have me give you my opinion on a particular bike shoot me a PM for my # and we can get together. Good Luck finding your bike and enjoy the ride!

I would love to but after Arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder this week I'm grounded for a while.
