  1. Whats that stuff run? I always used Bar Keepers Friend and got the same results for $5.
  2. Yes the citizens or should I say most citizens want the best value for our dollar. But the typical politician doesn't care about our dollar. As long as they are getting a free ride they will keep doing what they do. Just a little inside note. When I was working for this large landscape firm we were bidding on a job for a suburb of Cleveland. In order for us to seal the deal we had to, off the books of course, do special favors for the Mayor and family. Don't ask me why family but thats where I ended up working. After I did all the paper work the jobs between the Mayor and Mayors mothers house the labor alone was values upwards of $15,000. I talk to my boss about it and he said " Thats just what you have to do Bud. We have been doing it like this for years." That SHIT ain't right!! But it's common place.
  3. I have noticed that with cruisers also. I really don't care if I'm in the back or middle just don't like being towards the front. Seems like every time I have been up front someone has to push or ride a bike length away through a turn. I have a couple people I can deal with riding like that but I have been riding with them since the day I started. Kind of a unspoken word type of thing about what we are going to do. Whatever though! Come on rain and warmer temps! I want to go ride:smilieRR:
  4. And all his buddies seem to feel the same way. Not paying taxes until their called on it is how they show their Socialism! They live by a different set of rules. Until they get caught! Socialism –noun 1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. 2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory. 3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles. End Rant!
  5. That's what I figured. Anytime I ride with people I don't know and don't know their riding style I always stay in the back. Just safe that way and I like to come home in one piece and enjoy the ride and the sights.
  6. I have been looking for boots also and came across these earlier today. They are a little higher on the leg than the smx1 you mentioned but they look a little more comfortable. I have never owned riding boots so I don't know anything about the brand. Any of you guys know about TCX? http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=4527
  7. March 31 2008 I was the lead of 5 bikes coming up to 90 degree right hander. Hit some gravel and tried to avoid a small pot hole and low sided. When I went down I wasn't doing much more than 15 mph. and separated my should and fractured my first rib.Minor cosmetic damage to the bike with exception of a bent radiator and broken clutch lever. A couple things factored in the accident. By number of relevance. 1. Inexperience, riding above my comfort zone 2. Worried about the bike coming up fast behind me. 3.First real ride of the season (not comfortable for the speed I came into the corner at)
  8. And another one http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72537
  9. Heres some more help. http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52025
  10. I'm not exactly sure. I think they are ll the same from 04- 08. Minus the ABS and 03 has a higher sub frame. I would call and make sure. If they can't give you a definitive answer call Ron Ayers or Oneida. Being Suzuki oem dealers they may have the best answers for you.
  11. $5 cheaper. http://www.indysuperbike.com/customer/home.php?cat=32960
  12. Depends on what system you want but so far Oneida has the lost price for the TRS out of the 3 I have looked at. https://www.oneidasuzuki.com/store/parts-accessories/yoshimura-trs-race-exhaust-systems-sv650s-2003-06.html
  13. I would imagine the group would have some decency to wait up for the guys who want to ride their own ride. I know I will ride my own ride if I can make it. And if is an issue it will be the last ride I attend. But I doubt that is going to be an issue. If you have a problem with peer pressure and feel like yo have to keep up with the fastest guys in the pack and you wreck, serves you right for riding beyond your abilities. I know I will be one of the people that would be more than happy to stop and make sure your OK and do what I can to help you. I guess I just have a positive outlook on things. The loop sound like a nice ride and I look forward to making it and meeting some of you people.
  14. I rode 78 from 77 to Burr Oak Lake in October to meet up with the Ride Ohio people at Big Muskie and Svr people at Burr Oak. What a great road. Had quite a few blind corners and cambered turns witch made for some nice riding. There were alot of houses and quite a bit of traffic. It was a Sunday though. I sure would like to go down and run it again. Along with 555 and 800. I haven't rode 555 yet but 2 years ago I rode 800 and really enjoyed it. They are on my to do list again this season!
  15. I joined the Core site this winter. Haven't spent much of any time over there tough. Seems pretty dead? If they do have some meet up for the N.E folks it would be nice. Up here it seems rare to find anyone that wants to do any riding. Everybody I run into basically bounces bars and rides to Geneva on Friday's and Saturdays. Gets old real fast! Having a family it can be hard to get the time to ride to meet up with the more active Southern riders with out having to stay in a hotel and making a weekend out of it. I just hope this year I will meet up with some riders that actually want to ride instead of just stop every half hour to hour and stand around next to their bikes to look cool. If not I guess I will just ride by myself like last year.
  16. I know I'm a noob here but would like to also recommend that you set a min. membership period also. Maybe something like 60 to 90 days. Just a suggestion.
