  1. I've had my '06 for 10 years. I love my bike. There are several other members on here with them as well. The engine is wonderful with the torque of the triple. The biggest issues are the the suspensions needs to upgraded with heavier springs and valves up front. The brakes are known to be a bit soft. There are several fixes for that as well. I have not done anything to my brakes other than pads and fluid. The only significant mechanical issue that you need to keep an eye out for is the sprag clutch. They have been known to fail if a less than fully charged battery is on the bike and can be costly to replace. Heat from the exhaust can be an issue if you are stuck in traffic in the summer. The single pipe runs up under the seat next to your right leg. It does make those crisp spring and fall rides more enjoyable though. I would recommend triumphrat.net for more in depth research. Good luck with your search and if you have any questions let me know.

Other members with '06's: JCMathis, VF1000ride, Anden

  2. Or you guys could call a professional and have your tank fixed not left still damaged.

I could have fixed it without paintwork. I would post pictures of before and after but it says pics are not allowed.

  3. Glad you're ok. Just like the accident that killed the father in front of Marysville Lanes, I'll chalk it up to distracted driver. A stick straight piece of road with no obstructions anywhere near the road. I swear the people out here are worse than the people in Dublin, Columbus, etc. Good luck in dealing with the Insurance companies.

  4. alright kids, looks like myself, trmn8tr or whatever his name is on here, and rvtpilot are in for sure, with some minor details like wives and transportation being worked out

a room at candlewood suites is booked (somewhere between the track and the city) from thurs through sun.  we plan to get there thurs night, and leave right after the races sunday.

if you guys want to get together somewhere in the city, let us know.  we're planning on throwing our favorite ginger trmn8tr a little pre-official bachelor's party bachelor's party on friday night, so if you're interested and you're cool enough, you should join in.  i'm not sure what all we're going to do just yet, but helpful suggestions are always appreciated.

Sounds like a plan. I'd recommend getting a count of who will be attending a getting a reservation set because restaurants fill quickly. I would personally recommend Rock Bottom Brewery. Good beer and great food. I also recommend Cafe Patachou for breakfast.

  5. Quick update. Marc Stock and Union Savings Bank knocked it out of the park in all aspects and I would highly recommend giving him a call if you are in the market to purchase or refi. I was able to drop my rate by 1.3 % and cut my term for a total cost of $260. No crazy high closing costs, no bloated title costs or appraisal fee's, and no points paid for the advertised rate. Just $260. Thanks again to everyone for your input.

  6. I received my shipment this morning after ordering on Thursday. Great service from RD as usual. I can't wait to get on the bike with this. They are pretty cool just messing around with them in my office today. With the speakers positioned properly, the sound is pretty damn good. My only issue was figuring out how to best mount the unit on my Nolan N104. Nolan makes that difficult for any other solution other than their uber expensive N-Com unit.

  7. Go. I've been there every year and look forward to going back. The racing, the downtown scene and everything that goes along with it make it a not to be missed weekend. Motorccycles on Meridian continue to amaze me every year. We stay at the LaQuinta downtown for $85/night. I would recommend GA tickets for your first weekend. For qualifying and practice the seating is all GA so you can pick your favorite place to site for the next year. If you ride over, parking in the IRL corporate lot is $20 for the 3 day weekend.
