if you go there and sign up in any group, just grab one of the yellow vested madmen and they will follow you and//or tow you around. or, if you do instructional/novice midohio PTR has structured classes that are very good. this holds true for just about any track day org, including STT, NESBA (their novice isn't quite as... "structured"), motoseries and others.

my hot weather gear: helmet (whichever i have that flows the most amount of air) short squid gloves with perforations (leather) mesh jacket with some sort of thin, sweat wicking shirt. once you get moving, it gets downright chilly, and i have to replace shirts (and sometimes jackets) from my nipples poking through. reinforced jeans, or the pant section from my 2pc suit, if we're gonna do a longer ride race boots... if it's a non-twisties ride, i'll wear some other less dedicated boots.

it's probably something i'd have to ask people who take their 03-04 600rr's to the strip, but i was more going for what rpm's to hold for the launch, and how slowly you have to release the clutch to not loop the thing. in this case, i feel at a disadvantage that i've never done an intentional wheelie, and definitely never one from a stand still.... i just don't know what the expect.

i can't make it to these, but feel free to post up some helpful launching tips. my race starts are awful (and everything else, but i know how to work on the other stuff)
