Sharing a trailer and car will help cut down on costs significantly, especially if you're driving a few hours. tips for newbies: if you want a list of recommended things to bring (emphasis on "recommended") here is the link to the trackday checklist. keep in mind a some of those items are things people can share and many are already bringing. we should make an effort to pit together so we can share resources and for shits and giggles.

yeah, that's pretty much why lots of people root. so they can tether and do other neat stuff like load roms/themes, etc.

i actually really like the 2 piece plastic holster+half case you can get from verizon. it's pretty cheap, and does the job. retention is ok, short of hanging upside down, and easy to use. apps i like: if you're rooted, get wifi tether at minimum. jorte is a good calendar app, so is quick settings and simple sound profile widget. words with friends is ok if you like scrabble (notifications can be a bit wonky at times). google goggles is handy if you get lots of business cards to add to your contacts list. some others i'm forgetting. it's perfectly capable of doing all the things the apps do (for the most part) but the apps add a different interface that can make it easier to access all the functions. definitely kill task killer. it is pointless.

i bet if you contact the "racer sponsorship/contingency" departments, they'll send you stickers and contracts and etc, or at the very least give you some instructions. you can try getting on Hookit or xtrm something something website that is all about the sponsorships for various sports. good luck on your racing!

just like any other track day, you can sign up til the day of (hell, just show up to Nelson that morning and pay if you want, I've done that a couple times). We got a hold of Todd to get Ohio Riders a discount cause 1. we're ballers, and 2. cause April and May are apparently not as filled up because people worry about weather. So, that was the only thing there is a "time limit" on. I doubt any of the groups will be filled, other than maybe Advanced group (not sure how many WERA and Motoseries racers will be there to practice for the upcoming races). whatever you decide, let us know so we'll expect you at Nelson and save you a spot in the pits! I think we'll have a pretty good turn out. Maybe we can do a cook out or something.
