he listed for $300 and said the price is a "little negotiable" in an email, but that i should come check it out. and it looks to be an older model since the only thing that shows up for trek 6500 are the ones with disc brakes... and those are significantly moar expensive. bleh. too bad i am too cheap to buy new.

personally, as long as you're not running something that's gonna muck up the track, i don't really care. dunno if fasttrax will feel the same way if they see you have anything other than pink/red stuff in your coolant expansion tank is all i'm saying. it'll prolly be fine. i've seen many tech requirements slip through the cracks at all track days, so it probably will go unnoticed. They do ask you though, so don't be all nervous lol

Hai Gaiz, I'm looking to get a all-purpose type of bike. I'm not going to be doing any 1 type of riding, so I thought I'd just get a mountain bike. Keep in mind, I have no idea about bicycles at all other than that the last time I had a bike, I got 1 for $5 and it was a rusted up road bike that wouldn't stay in gear that I used in college. if your bike is totaled, just ask them what the buy back price is and if you decide it's worth the price, they'll take that amount off your settlement check. usually, the higher the repair estimate, the lower the buy back price. so, even though the dealership/shop might want to stop racking up the estimate after a certain amount (because it's clearly a totaled bike) just tell them to keep going if you intend on buying it back.

i think it takes like a week and a half. but maybe moar for personalized.
