  1. Dang that is one sweet garage! Ya I had the same problem covering an R1 seat. I bought a heavy duty manual staple gun and still a pain. Next time I am going to use an air stapler like the carpet guys. Your seat looks nice also.
  2. Hi, I can't tell you what tires to buy I like Dunlop and Michelin pilot. ( OK Pilot ) I can tell you to stay away from race tires for the street, they are designed to run at track temps 160 degrees, under that temp they get hard and they lose their grip. 160 to 170 ok if tire fits but may slow the stearing.
  3. Hi,If you install a new clutch you are to soak the plates in oil for a day so I don't think oil is the problem. If you lost the ball you would have consideral play in your clutch lever and your clutch may not disingage at all. You did say the clutch disengages but feels like it is draging, I felt the same way as you in my early days messing with a ds80 and it was nothing. I also have 2 gsxr750s an R1 and some others and I also did the 520 conversion on my 00 gsxr750. Good Luck Another thing to consider is the colder the temp the stickyer the clutch. People put stp in their bikes?
  4. Hi, The only thing that could have caused your clutch to stick is tightening the sprocket nut in gear causing burres on the basket not allowing clutch plates to move smoothly, highly unlikely. Putting the shifter rod in a different position will not affect your clutch at all but you may not be able to get your boots under the shifter. I don't think anything is wrong with your bike, that wasn't wrong before the conversion, other than sticky clutch plates from sitting. Start it up, let it warm up to thin the oil, put up the kick stand pull in the clutch and put it in gear. If you are worried about the bike taking off rest the front tire against the wall of your garage before starting. Good luck and let us know how it turned out
