  1. Yes I agree with you, but in some circles an excellent rider who decides not to wear protective pants is labeled a squid.
  2. What you think the police needs an actual reason to pull you over?
  3. What is a squid? 1. A newbee who's first bike is a 600 or larger sportbike? 2. A person who rides a sportbike without proper gear? 3. A person who does stunts on public streets? 4. A person who rides a sportbike in an unlawful manner i.e. speeding etc. 5. All of the above. I use to think it was 1, then was convinced 2, then talked into 3, now being told 4, so I guess the answer must be 5. So it must be everyone who purchases a sportbike capable of 150+ for use on a public street, is that possible?

I am not bashing the busa but I think most people who buy them, buy them because they were the fastest production motorcycle in the world.

What would that be, looks and handling?
  6. Mine are mounted right under the taillights kinda bent up in the air. I got pulled over at the QSL in Independence, got a ticket and didn't feel like fighting it and it cost me $75. I also got pulled over Silver Lake but he let me go after checking my paper work.

Well if you really want to hear my thoughts the only thing that came to mind was: so what. Welcome back
  10. +1 Exactly, when I ride it's just one long pass.
  11. Absent minded cagers getting in the way happens every time we ride, its just apart of riding. I'm sure a lot of us, by our riding habits, cause them stress as well. If it upsets a rider that much maybe they should be safe and take the car.
  12. The carburetors are going to fill with gas as soon as you turn the petcock to open or to prime if you have a vacuum safety.
  13. Did you put fresh gas in it? If not you have still not ruled out the gas.
  14. Not if but when you mess up. funny funny .... it really cant be that hard Today 10:30 AM No it's really really easy.......I buy wrecked bikes.
  15. When I am working outside and its slippery I put 5 or 6, 1/2" zap screws in each boot works great.
  16. I have a clear tail lights with clear 1157 led bulbs that turn red when energized.
  17. I have those Auto Zone trailor universal tail light intergrator ( $15 ) on 3 of my bikes, 2 of those bikes have leds and all the brake light and tail light brightness work correctly. I think yours are not wired correctly probably the ground. You could check the brake light brightness and tail light brightness difference in your bulbs buy wiring them directly to a power source to see what they are suppose to look like. Auto Zone also sells an electronic flasher to fix your flash rate $10. Just get one with the same number of prongs as your flasher, 2 or 3. You can also get an electronic led flasher on ebay $40. Good Luck

  19. I am looking for some advise on a dsl ISP, was thinking of going with AT&T Elite 6mps $35 + taxes and other fees. Does anyone recommend AT&T? Thanks
  20. If you use just enough tension to remove the ring then it should be reusable. If you bend the crap out of it then it will not be reusable. Most manuals recommend installing new lock rings, circlips, locknuts etc. Depending on how much time and trouble it is to get a new fastener, I 90% of the time use the old ones and have never had a problem. Good Luck Disclamer: I have never installed a Durablue axel on an ATV
  21. Nice write up except. On a v8 your RPM's are measured at every firing event then doubled so that the tach reading is the actual crankshaft revolutions per minute. If you notice on tachs they have a switch for 4,6,or 8 cylinders that is so the tach knows how to mutiply the signal. Do you think a manufacture would advertise only 1/2 the maximum crankshaft RPMs?
  22. Those bar pics were great you should work for TMZ
  23. Now was that really necessary? I Thought it was just a simple discussion, an exchange of ideas and thoughts and I am sorry if I offended you Natedogg.
  24. I still say some guy doing wheelies ruined 2nd gear and those transmissions are soft. I agree that the new parts could be better than the old parts.
