Well if it is a design flaw then its still going to be flawed after you " fix " it. I have 2 gsxr 750s and have never heard of anyone having trouble with a gsxr 2nd gear.

If that was the case why would anyone consider buying it.

I pulled the transmission and replaced a bearing on a gsxr750 it was pretty easy and took a day. The only cost was the bearing $50, suzuki seallent $20, side cover gasket $15 and oil. R1 and R6 are known for loosing 2nd gear from pullin wheelies. Personally if I couldn't do the work myself I would not buy the bike. Call the Yamaha dealer in your area and get the worst case scenario repair price.

After reading this post I will never buy a bike from Cycle Search........unless they have what I want for what I want to pay. If they crack a joke I will laugh and crack one back, if they try and belittle me I will try and belittle them, tit for tat, but in the end I will leave them my final offer and they can accept or decline. If I don't like them or I can't get a deal I won't go back. Remember the rule of business, the guy with the money makes the rules.

It's to bad that they have to make a law to try and stop the filthy language in public. I wonder if these people, setting around their dinner table with their children, wife, grandmother, mother, sister boss etc. talk this way and if not why is it ok to speak it in public around someone elses family? I can understand a swear word every once in a while but not every other word.

In the mail today I received Ryan Moore's dvd Motard X Dream and watched it. I thought it was good and liked the stair riding also. Ryan seems pretty cool and I like the way he left all the cussin and foul language out, he reminds me of Teach Oneil and Travis Pastrana. Ya I know same old stuff but I like listening to the music and watching good riders ride and he is good. Motards and supermoto races are where its at. 7 (12 if you made a dvd I would probably purchase it, gotta support the local talent.)

Yes I understand your thoughts but the problem may occure when checking for a spark the ecm gets directly grounded i.e. screwdriver coming into contact with engine and allowing no spark at all, it is this action that may cause damage to the ecm.

Ya I have read that also and even read that when handling them static electricity can mess them up.

I got the Feb 09 Super Streetbike today and in the Used and Reviewed section the Blackbird was featured. That section is where bike owners, of the featured bike, send in pictures and comments like best upgrade, favorite aspect, mods, miles done, driver age and year of bike. That bike seems to be bullet proof.

Until you start logicaly eliminating causes for not starting issue you may be wasting your time but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile. The most expensive electrical part for 99-00 cbr1000xx is pgm-f1 unit $742.76 at Bikebandit. Good Luck!

I go to a chinese food take out and on their wall is an old cantonbikerboyz sticker that looks like its been there awhile and thats all I know about them. Ebay is a good place to get stunt dvds at a good price, sometimes whole collections and bulk close outs come up for bid. I bought both of the 4 dvd sets at Best Buy for $20 each Burnin Rubber and Screaming Sportbikes the latter is all Streetfighters which is the better of the two. I would rate both sets a 6. Starboyz FTP 666 is just out $25 + $3 s&h. I emailed them to see if I could pick one up because I am in Cuyahoga Falls everyday and of course no responce, typical with those guys, so I ordered a different dvd from another rider Ryan Moore $20 includes s&h.

On the net.......Ohioriders was casually mentioned in a small local bike forum and I am glad I picked up on it because you guys rock!!!!!
