I'd love to get out there, but it has proven difficult to get people together when the weather cooperates this summer. I need enough people to go so I can get behind the boat, hate just being in it. Usually when we're out I rarely drive it, i'd rather be pulled by it.

Do you know where McMaster-Carr is? They have a "cleveland" location, I order all my shop supplies for work from there. This is what they have: Part# 54175A71 3/4" Square Drive Metric Impact Socket 6-Point Standard, 40mm Size, 2-1/2" Length O'all In stock at $23.20 Each Seems like a pretty reasonable price, I don't know how far it is from where you are though, but it might be an option.

For the vehicle to be eligible, the current owner has to have owned it and had it insured for the past year. Actually, a 93 cavalier is not eligible for the program. It is rated at 21mpg combined.. combined needs to be 18mpg or less, so that rules out most of the smaller and medium sized vehicles.

I guarantee you will lose more than 3-4 mpg, my 07 F150 (5.4L) only got 9-10 mpg towing my 20' boat. Also, really think about how much you are going to use the boat. I love boating and grew up around boats, but Ohio weather sucks for us boaters most of the time. When I bought our new boat a couple years ago I had visions of getting everyone together and hanging out at the lake on weekends. Unfortunately it didn't happen that way, for some reason (unknown to myself) its hard to get a group together to go boating. What's wrong with people?? My wife says I'm an ass, I don't care about other people and my social skills need an overhaul, but its just that I don't deal well with stupidity and ignorance. Anyways, I now have a $34k boat that just sits in the driveway, it saw water 3 times last year and once (so far) this year. Anyone want to be my friend and go to the lake?

First you need to decide on the type of boat you want. If you go with a boat in the 17-18 ft. range (around 3000-3200lbs) you should be able to tow it with most of the modern crossover suv's. For example, my wife's Ford Edge can tow up to 3500# and we get 28mpg on the highway with it, you'll probably get less than 10mpg towing a boat with it though. I have a 21' boat and tow that with a Chevy Avalanche, I get about 12-13mpg when towing.

I hear Cumberland is an awesome lake, but its a 7.5 hr trip for me. As much as I'd love to see Cumberland I think I'll stick to Ohio mud puddles that are a bit closer to home.

You shouldn't let the forecast stop you from going to Cedar Point, even though they say rain, it very rarely rains for more than 15 minutes or so at Cedar Point. It must have something to do with the location, rain passes through rather quickly then its back to business as usual.
