  1. I park WAY in the 'back 40' in lots.

Walking never killed anyone, and it's just that much more exercise I get in a day.

Plus, no one dings my truck because no one else parks out there, and thus no shopping carts/other crap make their way out there either.

+1. I usually park as far away from people as I can, on the bike or in the truck.

  2. lance, we better go easy on the shit talk ... people are gonna think there is no love here whn there so clearly is

no, not all. I wouldn't be surprised if the two of you found a dark corner to cuddle in at the next event.

yes.... that may be true but I am so much better looking. hahahahahahahahahahahahahhalolohahahaha

don't get too arrogant, I make both of you look like quasimodo.

  3. Well thanks for letting us know you were riding today. Jk.

I did just about 400 miles on sat. That put me at about a 1K I. The last couple weeks.

T is one those guys that easy to pick on, huh? ;)

Yep, 400 miles Sat, I've done about 1800 since June 20. Maybe 50 of that came from riding to work.

Cool thing is, I ended up getting about 175 miles on a tank and still had a half gallon left on Sat. That's almost 60 miles a gallon. :)

Once again, Lance you are the man. THis is exactly what I am looking for and I love the front fender. Man you are good.:D

T- if you do something like this, that is pretty cool.

Before you get too into this, ask yourself two questions--

    1. Does my wife ever want to ride?

I don't see a pillion seat working with something like this. Trust me, if she isn't comfy, she won't ride. Maybe that is a good thing for you though. :D

I ask because I have a friend that bought a sportbike when he was single, now he has girlfriend and she won't ride because it is not comfortable. He wishes he would bought a comfy cruiser now. I also know my wife won't ride for more than hour or so because she gets uncomfortable.

    2. Do I plan on riding long distances?

I know Lance rides the shit out his springer, but you may not find something like this as comfortable as he finds his. Bags will probably look stupid if you are doing any over-nighters, and I find backpacks bothersome, maybe you don't though.

Just some ideas, but it is your bike, do what you want, not what everyone else does or tells you should do. It would be pretty sweet though.

  5. It was a good day for sure. 77 in WV is serious. I couldn't believe we were doing 80ish and were being passed by campers and cars pulling boats.

For real man. It was odd to zipping around the swerves on 77 at 75-80 MPH and being some the the slower vehicles on the road.

    WV drivers don't piss around.

    Pics coming shortly...

  6. Art I get 80-90miles per tank and that's right to the reserve of .7gallons. You should be getting around 140 per tank

I've gotten 165 using a bit of the reserve and it took 3 gallons to fill up, so I had about half gallon to spare.

I usually like to fill up at about 120-140.

Wow, you are getting really shitty mileage. Guess we'll have plenty of stops. :p

  7. I might be the only married guy I know that can do nearly whatever I want, whenever I want. My wife rocks. As long as we don't already have plans, the world is open to me, just no one else's legs. :)

T- I would budget more than 6 hours, you never know what might happen.

  8. Who wants to be my gas gauge? I'll go but somebody has to be the odometer and gas gauge or I'm gonna be riding bitch with Jagr!:D

Can't be much different than mine, you'll be okay. :flag:

Viking helmets rock. At minimum, we should throw some spikes on the helmets. :)

  9. Sounds exactly like my kind of ride. I'm in if you want me. :)

Just let me know when and where.

I may be up for an overnighter too if anyone wants. This is my only free weekend until late August. I was thinking about going to Erie with Dave & Rick, but I think I'm out for that, not up for a rally.

  10. Tbone I Ruv ru bisch. :D

Poker run looks good but I wanna roll not sit in line breathing unburned gas. Hehe.

Moose wanna do the original plan of 2lanE-ing it to Logan pick up 33 to river cross at Ravenswood pick up 77 to Charlestown. Harass a Mountain Mama or two and book it back.

I 'm pretty sure I'm down for that trip.

What time are you leaving Sat?

Who's in so far? Jagr, Recon, Moose, anyone else?

Is this spirited or casual? I usually keep it about 75-80 max on the freeway and not much above on state routes.

  11. it's awesome, or fake, it can't be fake, can it ? but thats a HD ? fake fake ..... maybe grrrr awesome

    but still..... Fake

    j/k

Not fake, I've seen Bubba Blackwell wheelie a V-Rod and a Road Glide 4 or 5 blocks at nearly 12 o'clock. Of course he is a stunt rider in a controlled environment. Doing that on the road is pretty cool.

  12. Interestingly enough, this is the first REP I received from this site when I joined:

It kind of set the Tone of the Website, but it does seem to "fit".

    KillJoy

Bummer. Just like anywhere, there are going to be a few assholes.

BTW, I think the Nightster is a sweet bike. If they black it out like the Iron in 2010, there may be one in my garage real quick. Now if they just get rid of the peanut tank....

  13. my 2nd post, i was at the meet and greet sunday, and not one of u fucktards acknowledged a h-d rider was there........:violin:i guess im the bad apple in the bunch.....yeeha

....in the wind guys and gals....

Hmm, weird, you must have been in a different place.

From what I saw, the second the guy with the turbo V-rod pulled in, the whole crowd swarmed his bike. I talked to a few of the HD guys that were there as well, they came down and mingled though.

I did notice a group that never left the patio, I just happened to catch a glance, but not even sure if they were all the HD guys or not, just saw a few patches.

I'm a shy, social-idiot and I've made plenty of friends from this forum.

Walk down and say hi to people, I can almost guarantee you would have to be a total and complete fucktard not to have a decent conversation with at least one person from this board.

I found out long ago when it comes to friend/relationships, you get back what you put in.

If you are standing somewhere with your arms crossed waiting for someone to pin a rose on you, I hope you have a ton of patience.

  14. we didn't record with them or DAT, I'm not that freakin' old. We would just use them as practice tools for covers because they would isolate the music with no lyrics. As a singer that didn't play an instrument, it helped me learn the songs a bit easier.

We used digital audio to record with, and an early version of ProTools.

All the recordings suck though(a few originals were decent songs, bad recordings, we practiced in a garage with tin walls), I'll keep them buried. No Artmageddon Bros for OR. :(

  15. MIDI... ha, you're old. :)

Phones do still support MIDI, but the majority of ringtones are QCP, MP3, or WAV formats anymore.

    Yeah, pretty much.

A while back I was in a band, we use to use midi's all the time to practice with. I kinda figured from the way they sound, the more basic tones were still midis.

  16. I've never tried this, but aren't ringtones just midi files?

Is it possible to load a midi directly to the phone?

There are tons and tons of midi files out there.

I do know they won't work with the iphone, but it may a solution for other brands.

I'm getting a env touch today, I'll see if I can find a way to make it work, unless someone knows it won't.

  17. hehe funny thing

i'm sure you've heard of the the computer lab in Caldwell room 112

I actually work there as a Java Consultant :D

if you do need a hand you're welcome to ask here or in the lab

i specifically help ppl with cse201 and cse216

u may be more advanced than that but i'm just offering help

Actually, no, I am taking my courses at Franklin online. I work full-time as well, most of the other programs I looked at couldn't work with my schedule, and they actually took the most transfer credits. I may take you up on the help fall semester(comp 121), I can assure you, I am not more advanced than you.

Sure you don't want to just do it for me? :guitar:

Luckily once I get this java class and the into to programming class are done, everything else is actual design.
