  2. For real man. It was odd to zipping around the swerves on 77 at 75-80 MPH and being some the the slower vehicles on the road. WV drivers don't piss around. Pics coming shortly...
  3. If you want a bigger fender, but get the one form the Aero. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2004models/2004-HondaShadowAeroC.jpg I like the Spirit with the billski light better, but that's just me.
  4. I think I want to stretch my rear fender. Have you ever seen this? Do you have any thoughts?

chop, not stretch. :) Get that billski light on there before you do anything.

  5. There will be more, no worries.

  6. Tell her you'll be gone 12 to be safe.
  7. I've gotten 165 using a bit of the reserve and it took 3 gallons to fill up, so I had about half gallon to spare. I usually like to fill up at about 120-140. Wow, you are getting really shitty mileage. Guess we'll have plenty of stops.
  8. I might be the only married guy I know that can do nearly whatever I want, whenever I want. My wife rocks. As long as we don't already have plans, the world is open to me, just no one else's legs. T- I would budget more than 6 hours, you never know what might happen.
  9. Can't be much different than mine, you'll be okay. Viking helmets rock. At minimum, we should throw some spikes on the helmets.
  10. J, was it you that was talking about seeing the golden dome in charleston? If not, whoever it was is going to be pissed if they miss out on the trip. OOMP said he was going to PA this weekend.
  11. Sounds exactly like my kind of ride. I'm in if you want me. Just let me know when and where. I may be up for an overnighter too if anyone wants. This is my only free weekend until late August. I was thinking about going to Erie with Dave & Rick, but I think I'm out for that, not up for a rally.
  12. all is good, busy and hell and looking forward to getting out this weekend. One of the few I have to myself this summer.

  13. I 'm pretty sure I'm down for that trip. What time are you leaving Sat? Who's in so far? Jagr, Recon, Moose, anyone else? Is this spirited or casual? I usually keep it about 75-80 max on the freeway and not much above on state routes.
  14. Not fake, I've seen Bubba Blackwell wheelie a V-Rod and a Road Glide 4 or 5 blocks at nearly 12 o'clock. Of course he is a stunt rider in a controlled environment. Doing that on the road is pretty cool.
  15. Bummer. Just like anywhere, there are going to be a few assholes. BTW, I think the Nightster is a sweet bike. If they black it out like the Iron in 2010, there may be one in my garage real quick. Now if they just get rid of the peanut tank....
  16. Hmm, weird, you must have been in a different place. From what I saw, the second the guy with the turbo V-rod pulled in, the whole crowd swarmed his bike. I talked to a few of the HD guys that were there as well, they came down and mingled though. I did notice a group that never left the patio, I just happened to catch a glance, but not even sure if they were all the HD guys or not, just saw a few patches. I'm a shy, social-idiot and I've made plenty of friends from this forum. Walk down and say hi to people, I can almost guarantee you would have to be a total and complete fucktard not to have a decent conversation with at least one person from this board. I found out long ago when it comes to friend/relationships, you get back what you put in. If you are standing somewhere with your arms crossed waiting for someone to pin a rose on you, I hope you have a ton of patience.
  17. we didn't record with them or DAT, I'm not that freakin' old. We would just use them as practice tools for covers because they would isolate the music with no lyrics. As a singer that didn't play an instrument, it helped me learn the songs a bit easier. We used digital audio to record with, and an early version of ProTools. All the recordings suck though(a few originals were decent songs, bad recordings, we practiced in a garage with tin walls), I'll keep them buried. No Artmageddon Bros for OR.
  18. Yeah, pretty much. A while back I was in a band, we use to use midi's all the time to practice with. I kinda figured from the way they sound, the more basic tones were still midis.
  19. consider me out right now. I just found out I owe $1000 tuition bill I wasn't expecting. If something changes between now and Friday, I'll let you know.

  20. I've never tried this, but aren't ringtones just midi files? Is it possible to load a midi directly to the phone? There are tons and tons of midi files out there. I do know they won't work with the iphone, but it may a solution for other brands. I'm getting a env touch today, I'll see if I can find a way to make it work, unless someone knows it won't.
  21. Actually, no, I am taking my courses at Franklin online. I work full-time as well, most of the other programs I looked at couldn't work with my schedule, and they actually took the most transfer credits. I may take you up on the help fall semester(comp 121), I can assure you, I am not more advanced than you. Sure you don't want to just do it for me? Luckily once I get this java class and the into to programming class are done, everything else is actual design.
  22. I here ya. I am back in school for a second degree in web development. If I would have realized the math needed, I would have not even bothered. When I took the first math class, it had been 13 years since my last, which was high school calculus. Art degrees not prepare one for math courses. Fucking Java may as well be Russian taught in Spanish to me. What I don't understand is that I have to take 2 Java classes to take the Intro to Programming Languages. wtf? I just want to do the web layouts and design, I'm not a code jockey ,and never will be. Tom- I love old 50's and 60's sci-fi. Most of the new stuff just can't compare. I may have to borrow a Heinlen book or two. I can't ever seem to find Methuselah's Children or To Sail Beyond the Sunset.
  23. Hey, what's wrong with art majors? I did start as a chemistry major, but found it much easier to go to an art class hung over. Actually, after reading this thread, I must have an engineer personality. I'm an introverted, depressed bookworm that will rarely talk to anyone that doesn't speak to me first. I'll be fairly social around people I know a bit, but no hard feelings if you see me standing in the corner by myself. I leave all the socializing to my wife. I prefer being alone. Today was my birthday and you know how I treated myself? Dinner at Max and Erma's with only an Arthur C. Clarke book for company.
  24. 1st off, I should never be the one to organize anything, I suck at making plans. I usually try to make everyone happy, and that makes no one happy. I'm never happy so it makes no difference to me as long as things are planned and go fairly smooth. But I'll throw this out: I know the next Pig Iron Meet and Greet is August 9th so need to take that into consideration, but a while back the wife and I decided to have a party at our house on August 8th. It won't be anything too fancy; burgers, dogs, beer(BYOB for now), corn hole, rock band. Family friendly, most of my friends are married with kids, but we'll be up late and most of the neighbors will be there so we shouldn't get complaints. This was going to start at 6 pm. How do we feel about doing a group ride that afternoon, and then heading to my house for the party afterward? I live near Sawmill and 161, we could head NW. There are some decent roads out that way. I don't really care where we ride, but truthfully I don't want to get too technical, I'm not a fan of big groups hitting twisties together, just seems like accidents waiting to happen. I'm up for other ideas and dates, throw them out. Regardless of what we decide, the party at my house is an open invitation. I plan on inviting a few of the people on OR that I know, but there will be a fairly mixed group there.
