  1. Moved to St Louis after year in sandbox. We bought our dream house with a 3 car garage, and I needed to fill it with something.... So a new '16 ZX-14 SE fit the bill. Put 75 miles on it today, but damn it's hot out here this weekend. Will try for more soon.
  2. He was so annoying I LOL'd when he crashed. Wind MAY have contributed a TINY bit, but it was 100% target fixation. Such a mild corner should have been easy to fix, even at the last split second. Lesson learned for him: He should spend less time on YouTube/yapping and more time reading up/learning riding skills. Lesson learned for me: There are more and more of these idiots on the road every day.
  3. bwaahaha....I just cut and paste my above response from urbandictionary.com
  4. Today the middle finger means "FUCK YOU!", but was actually invented in Golden-Age Athens 2500 years ago, not Medieval times. It originated from Ancient Greek comedy called The Clouds by Aristophanes. In this play, the actors mocked a politician by stating that his competitor had a longer dick. They showed this by running around with their middle finger pointing out from their dick area. It was meant to be stupid. It's meaning changed over time, but always was considered insulting
  5. 6 Jan. I will be with them for a couple weeks.
  6. The 14 is tempting... We will have another little one by then. The story would sound to similar to Nivin's, lol. I
  7. Had a lot of good drinks, meals, and memories there
  8. I like me some good Mexican food. I'm still deployed until May
  9. Nothing in writing yet, but the USAF is sending me to Little Rock after my vacation in Qatar. Any advice or general info? The internet is surprisingly limited on that area. I will be looking for a new bike, but probably after we buy a house(prices seem very good).
  10. I've already sent Tonik a PM, portraying my disgust. I also demanded he photoshop the picture, as not to offend future viewers. Other than that, great trip. Thanks for sharing. What did you do in Omaha? I lived there for 7 years.
  11. Great writeup. Other than the swimming, it sounds like a great trip. Thanks for the pics...got nothing but beige rocks and sand out here!
  12. I've seen the larger versions at Speedway for 99 cents, around Dayton.
  13. At first I was like tl;dr...then I saw Rip-its and had to read the entirety. Hilarious! Camp Cupcake(AUAB, Qatar) no longer receives these lifesavers. When we send out missions to our FOBs, we bring back as many cases as we can. Good thing C-17s have a little bit of extra space, lol.
  14. Glad it worked out. Jealous of that scenery.
  15. Sadly, I don't see that with our USAF drivers. They may amongst themselves, but as a lowly enlisted maintainer, I never hear admission of guilt. Even after it's proven.
  16. Sorry you had a bad experience. That was not a typical class...as you can see from everyone's testimony. Please continue to suggest MSF courses to people.
  17. ^^Incredible vid^^ After reading the description, the truck almost hits a pedestrian, as your eyes are focused on the biker. Just wow!
  18. Tonik, I cant speak for everyone. I was speaking of the TONS of people that tell you about their own wreck...they all say "they had to lay it down" They say it in this manner to try and prove that they had some sort of control of the situation. When in reality they were in over their skill level. In regards to your points... 1) They are definitely too stupid, but they are hoping the person they are talking to is even more so. 2) They most likely used the term "lay it down" for any wreck.
  19. 9 times out of 10 there is a better option. People use the phrase to shift guilt, instead of learning better riding techniques. I would intentionally lowside if I was way hot for a corner with reduced traction and potential danger on the outside of said corner. i.e. A drop off or trees. The reduced traction meaning I can't stand the bike up for maximum braking. The reduced traction also meaning there is no way of making it through the curve.
