  3. Got the Alaskan for protection only during hikes in the Tennessee/Kentucky area. Buddies carry hot loads of .44 mag or .45 Long Colt. When I introduced my wheel gun, I told them I only needed 2 rounds of .454 Casull. They mocked me for being overly confident with my marksmanship. I corrected them with the explanation the first round is for the bear, if that fails, the last one goes in the knee of the person closest to me. The old adage: "Don't have to outrun a bear, just got to outrun YOU."
  4. 300 gr Hornady next to 125 gr
  5. Two of my favorite revolvers for different uses. The 2" SP101 in .357 and my Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan 2 1/2" in .454 Casull...

  8. Last month I bought an Alaskan from a guy near you (Yellow Springs). It's the 2 1/2" model in 454. Adore the gun!!! Was waiting almost a year.

  13. Depending on the county, you may be eligible for a "points aversion program". You pay a third party on line to view a presentation that takes a couple days I believe. Once completed, you present a printed certificate of some sort to the county and pay their fine as well, but the end result is a no points entry on your record. I'll ask a coworker who went through this last year for costs and amount of time it took him to watch the presentation.
  14. I can only imagine the number of crashes on that street from distracted drivers...
  15. Sad to report, it was an AT&T phone and already sold...
  16. White 3Gs acceptable? Checking to see if she hasn't already sold it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I too missed the order thread. Able to add 1 large? DONE
  18. I had both versions, and the forward was by and far quicker to set since I just had to straighten the bike and look down over seat to line up the spools. While leaning over, it was a simple lowering of body weight to engage/lift. No kickstand use needed, but did hinder working on left rear of bike a little. Being tight on space, I even had the detachable front handle to minimize the overall footprint of the bike.
