Did I hear you were running 1:33 with that bike? Baller

Loser, no ride for you. Tell your anti O.R. buddy he can ride with us if we make it out.

I haven't rode since June 18th when I tried this in poor conditions. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=78666 I might be able to ride Sunday but have some family things that might get in the way and won't be able to commit until Saturday. It looks like rain Saturday anyway. Would you want to ride the route I posted above if I am able Sunday?

I wasn't aware that the BSA club had an event in August and forgot about them having one earlier. When setting up for the July 9th & 10th event we used some of the sections they used when we set up for the Trials Inc. event. I was referring to the Trials Inc. event at that facility along with the Trials Inc. event in Dayton soon. I have rode a trials bike five days now in the last 35 years and one of them was at the vintage day’s event on a borrowed bike. I’m just now thinking about getting into doing trials and certainly don’t know of all the events available. It sounds like there are enough events to participate in that finding land might not be needed.

I watched your last race from the fence along the back straight and it looked like you were having fun wheelieing between turn 1 and the chicane. I thought you might have had some in reserve from the way the guy on the Duc would come up and back on you. Your bike is beautiful and I can't believe how close to stock it is. Watching your race with some of the modern bikes has me thinking of getting a modern bike to participate next year. Maybe it’s time to show some twin love.

The court made the correct ruling based on the law. They shouldn't be legislating from the bench unless it was unconstitutional. The law is constitutional based on Heller allowing reasonable restrictions. I think that part of Heller is wrong because if you restrict my ability to defend myself or family it is unreasonable. The law sucks and should be changed to allow for drug convictions and domestic violence to be excluded for disability. I also think felons should be able to posses and carry firearms but Ohio lawmakers are powerless to change that from the state level.

I have ridden a 150cc scooter on a highway many times, never thought about it being illegal. Why would it be, a 150cc scooter can go 60MPH?

I competed in my first trials event at Vintage days with a modern (03 Gas Gas) bike. I learned to ride a motorcycle on a 1973 Suzuki RL250 trials bike. There is a trials competition in Newark but I don't know the availability of the facility for practice. There is a competition in Dayton August 6th & 7th. I am friends with the family who set up the Toronto, Ohio and the Vintage days events.

If the guys you are riding with are sticking to accepted group riding etiquette then you should be able to keep up with any group sport bike ride. 70MPH to 75MPH in the straights should allow everyone who falls back in the curves a chance to catch back up. For those not comfortable going faster than that then there is stopping at all turns to wait for the rest of the group to catch up. Fast guys and slower guys should all get to the end of a ride at the same time. No reason to try keeping up if you can't though; waiting for rescue services to show up always takes longer than waiting for others at the next stop.

Best road is a very subjective thing depending on so many factors that it shouldn't be a statement. I personally like 260 right now with my old favorite being 255. New pavement on 260 and its length gives it the nod for me. If 255 was as long as 260 it wouldn’t be a contest but I kind of like the thrill 255 has with some of the blind rises and fall offs. I have been on 536 with people and I don't recall anyone liking it while I hear of others really liking it, I can take it or leave it. If others express an interest in riding it I try to put it in a route but no one has ever asked to do it again after being on it once. 800 is a great road for someone who doesn't want to scare themselves if they keep to sane speeds. It has different personalities depending on where you're at on it. If the OP can relate what section he likes it shouldn't be hard to point him to other roads with similar traits.

Your answer lies in these two quotes. I don't suspect suspension settings though. End of life and tire pressure are most likely.

As a self proclaimed intermediate rider 800 is a good choice, not technical, it doesn't have any bad blind rises or drop offs, there are no gotcha corners in either direction, it has the chance for speed in bigger sweepers and is in overall generally good shape. I would say a good choice for someone from the northern part of the state to use as a gage to decide if riding down south is worth it for them. When you get to 7 turn right to 260 turn right to 78 turn right back to 800. If you like 260 or 78 it will be a good indicator for other roads to send you to or roads to avoid depending on your comfort level.

When I am out for a sport ride I pass cars without much thought but am overly considerate to others on bikes regardless of gender of style of bike. I don't know their skill level or their comfort level of having others close to them. I have seen too many people get spooked by being passed unexpectedly and I don't want to be the one responsible for getting them out of shape. It’s not worth being impatient for the time it takes for a good opportunity to pass. I hate groups of riders who aren't considerate of others rides and they aren't extended the same courtesies as those above. When you are on purpose trying to enforce your will on me expect not to like the reaction it solicits. I can get along with others just fine when they have the same respect for others that they expect to receive.

Having owned both I do find it funny that someone who owns a Blackbird making fun of how a Busa handles. The Busa very easily out handles a Blackbird.

I have been waiting for this video to make it public. Driver is a dumbass for many reasons but didn't deserve the treatment he was handed. I would have made that stupid hot headed cop’s head explode with real stupid replies once I figured out his demeanor. Threatening to execute someone who is detained is probably not his brightest moment and I'm going to guess it isn't his first act of stupidity. Getting rid of this ignorant duty to inform should have been part of the latest changes to the CHL. Hopefully it will go away with the next round of changes. Ideally working up to eliminating the need for a license at all.

Do 536 just to say you have done it, it's not close to being a mini Dragon and for the life of me I can't figure out how someone can come close to making that statement. If you are putting in the effort to go that far when you get to 7 go south to 255. The road is six miles longer and is a way better road than the goat path 536 is. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=29234

Two years ago you could buy a new 2008 Honda CBR1000RR for $7,000 from any dealer. Not quite the same money as $12K. Great bike you are selling, poor time to be selling a premium non essential vehicle.

Demo rides for KTM at the AMA Vintage weekend!
Uncle Punk replied to Moto-Brian's topic in Daily Ride
I will be there Saturday and Sunday. Hope to do some demo riding Saturday and I will be riding in the trials event Sunday on a modern bike. -
More specific questions are needed. I have owned a CBR1100XX, a GSX1300R and a ZX12R. They are too many differences to address without more specifics on your intended use. Short answer is for me the busa fit better, handled better and rode better. The Honda has no "flaws" but doesn't do anything really well. They are rock steady reliable just not awe-inspiring. They look twice as good as a busa but I would buy a busa over one any day.

I wouldn't mind if Akron, Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo would break off from Ohio and beat them to the 51st state.

Than bike is bad ass, just imagine how fast it would be if it didn't have to haul all the extra weight. It doesn't need to be faster though, it can walk away from me at will.

Slipper clutches a fun to have but not needed. If you are getting wheel hop at slow speeds with small rpm changes your chain might be too tight.
