  1. Haaaaaaaa, Haaaaaaaaa, Haaaaaaaaaaa, too funny
  2. He only got his ass beat because he wasn't tough enough to ride a cruiser?
  3. Wasn't the thread public and didn't others have participation in it? Only the person starting the thread owns it? That doesn't make much sense; I would think after others have posted a thread it becomes theirs also. This policy has many pitfalls, you should be careful. If an OP doesn't like the content of the posts in "their" thread they can have them closed? Does a mod have to agree the replies offend the OP? If not then be honest about closing a thread and not use the OP request as an excuses for over moding.
  4. Animosity is not the correct assessment of the situation, amusement is more appropriate, thanks for playing along. We are not allowed to hassle the cruiser folks because this place is for everyone weather they have thick or thin skin. If you thought you were being harassed you are wrong because we love everyone here.
  5. This forum is minimally moderated No, not really but I didn't think it was. Another locked thread to prove how little moderating is done around here.
  6. Why would I be jealous I have a scooter I can ride anytime I want to if I don't want to think about what I'm doing when I ride, just like cruiser riders except without the alcohol.
  7. Meaning you will be wasting it all day riding around in a big circle with us or the girlfriend has made plans for you.
  8. Let's not confuse experience with owning a motorcycle for a long time and not wrecking. Very few cruiser riders that I know of have much experience with riding. In most cases it's not necessary because they ride them with as much skill as it would take to ride a 50cc scooter. Nothing wrong with that if that is what gives you pleasure but don't let that skill level fool you into thinking you have experience or good riding skills. Go to Deals Gap sometime and look at all the skid marks leading into corners from all the cruiser guys locking up their rear brakes that should tell you something about riding knowledge.
  9. WTF, a Harley rider with a sense of humor and a good attitude, maybe he will stick around for some fun. The mods seem to think the long time members on here are mean to the Harley crowd so I should say "Fuck you loser" first to get that out of the way because I don't want to disappoint them. I can't help you with any tire questions for that bike because I have zero experience with tires for that bike but I could lie to you if you would like, it could be like we have a relationship or something.
  10. Exactly my point, plus they have very little knowledge about motorcycling except that they are supposed to stop at the next bar when they go out slowly riding around.

Where you in TN or NC? I got nailed in TN on 129 for 67 in a 30, fine was $236 and I paid if from Ohio.
  12. Sounds like the jury was a true jury of the defendant's peers. I'd bet none of them ride a motorcycle or if they do they ride cruisers. Impaired, at night it is very difficult to judge distance and speed. The accident would have happened even if the motorcyclist had been going 20 MPH slower.
  13. Leave at 8:00 Am back to start point at 7:00 Pm. Best guess estimate, but you know how many factors can affect that outcome. Early start time and long distance should keep the size of the group down and hopefully those conditions will give us more experienced riders. We can't get this done if people show up not wanting to go 70 MPH between curves or pass on double yellows, which is something I expect from the people who show up.
  14. I will add 376 to the route, it looks like fun. Here is a video of 260, thanks to JCMathis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWVEE1oYVBc
  15. Thanks for the video, that confirms it, I think this road might be better than 255 because it doesn't have so many blind rises and drop offs, plus it's twice as long. I'm going to repost this video in the thread for the ride I have planned for the 31st.
  16. Hey guys, this ride isn't this weekend.
  17. Hey, where are the 260 videos? I need them to entice the guys to go on the ride I posted for the 31st.
  18. You make me laugh, that's funny and I don't care one way or the other but if I were you I would be doing a rain dance. If Saturday is nice and it rains Sunday you're in big trouble mister. (That is if you can get enough people to make the day change.)
  19. That sucks, will the 05-06 motors work with the 03-04 600s? Good luck finding something that works. Road America rocks, did you at least have some fun before you troubles?
  20. That's why we post a route so the really fast guys can go out front and ride their own pace. Stating a ride will be brisk is meaningless because it means different things to different people. I want everyone to be entertained riding at their own safety level which is at a different pace for everyone. This many miles on these roads with this group shouldn't be tried if you are a newer rider because that will just frustrate everyone. I have eliminated two of the route options and have eliminated 555 and 536 plus moved the start time back an hour to accommodate time constraints and evening activities. Are there any objections?
  21. Up until these statements I was entertained by you two but this is just uncalled for. Scooters rule and if you are too insecure to realize that maybe I need to reevaluate my estimation of your manlyhood.
  22. Fuck you, you little shit!
  23. Motherfucker, it sucks having work, I missed this whole thing as it was playing out. Looks like it would have been fun to join in.
  24. Isn't there a thread discussing that behavior? Do we have new Ranting & Raving rules or do the general board rules still apply? Can we go back to Ranting & Raving threads not counting toward our post counts? I have way too many posts.
  25. Everyone is welcome and please see the first post for some general expectations for group riding, that I will be getting to soon. Basically, please be willing to go 70 MPH between curves and bring a bike that is in good repair, no lunch stop is planned and gas stops should be brief. I would go and just do 260 and 255 both ways if it were just me but I like to make routes that give our northern guys the chance to get to see some different roads. All of 260 is done now but the lines weren't put down everywhere last weekend. They were paving some of 26 when we were down there and if any road work gives us trouble we can change the route easily since you really can't find a bad road down there.
