second part to my question is how far away is there somewhere to go shooting? zaleski has the state range posted in another thread which would be nice. Any other place that allows centerfire rifles?

Thinking about just doing the aep coal land down off rt 83 it is free. Just a bit of a drive to get there. All you need is to print out a form to have on you about the rules. Yote this is why I am trying to buy some land, I am tired of paying others to use there land.

Thanks recon thats the sites I have been looking at already. I think the kao by lake hope wants $40 a night for the six of us to tent camp there. I am a cheap bastid and just can't see spending the price of a cheap hotel room on setting my tent up somewhere.

Yeah there are state run sites close by but I have a problem with the amount they charge for me setting my tent up. Primitive site with no water or electric is almost $25 per night. seems kinda high for tenting. they have cabins for like $10 a night more.

I know that the aep land is free to camp on with pull up parking right there. This is fine with me and the boys the wife not so much.

I have another thread for this but might ask here to. There any good places to set up a tent to 4 days around this area? I want to take the family tent camping the second week in aug. So you locals know of any place?

So when the heck did tent camping get so expensive? I have been check the state parks and a few other camp grounds. They want $25 and up a night in the state parks and the campgrounds are around $40 a night to TENT camp. Anyone know of any areas that are cheaper to set up a tent for like 4 days at? looking around the hocking hills area, or have also looked around lake hope area.

Funny I never said they were a waste of time just that I don't see them as teaching street skills. I would say that a track school is far better for learning then a track day or am I off base since i have no knowledge of these things.

I can get you a plasma cutter cheap but don't own one.

I have not felt the need to do a trackday. Not saying it would not be fun to do one.
