  1. I've had the same bike for 13 years I can't seem to get rid of it even when I try. My next bike is gonna be a ninja 1000 with the hard bags. Someone finally made a bike that I have been looking for for year. A lighter weight sporty sport touring bike with good power and a inline four.
  2. Tempting, but what kind of scope is it? I can get the camo/ss with just scope rings version from fin that is 3 miles away from me for $279. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive for me to get to any cabelas stores. The one in Mich is just as close as the one in c-bus is to me. If it has a decent scope on it might be worth checking out.
  3. First of the stolen property I heard of, I was just there for the midget blow up doll and Jerry Springer action on mags brother. How funny was it when his Dad dragged him out after that girl made a mess in his shorts. Gen you gonna make it up this year?
  4. This might be good? Can't go wrong with bacon in anything.... http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=bacon+flavored+bourbon&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=q19Gr7C_krzO8M&tbnid=AFXDmgX-p2tgWM:&ved=0CAUQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.baconbourbonusa.com%2F&ei=61OpUoTKB8rVkQfNwoDoAw&bvm=bv.57967247,d.eW0&psig=AFQjCNF7tVSSF49MIdUc3t6_kLiEL-wo6g&ust=1386915125942565
  5. I plan to use it on yotes at my buddies house he has been having a problem with them coming up to the house to close. We were out deer hunting Sunday and saw prints within ten feet of his house. His wife was not pleased and wants them dispatched right now. He had prints over top of the sled prints where he was pulling his kid around earlier that day. He is getting a call and one of those moving rabbit tail decoys to set up. The one set of prints is as big as a labs paw print. Plan to practice some on the yotes before deer season hits.
  6. Thanks for all the input guys, I am still gonna go with the cva v2. I will get in as much practice as I can before the season hits for deer. We have a range day planned for Sunday this weekend at my buddies house. He is picking up a 30/30 and I am getting my muzzle loader. We are planning to shoot out of the back of his barn with a heater running. Should allow for up to a 200 yrd shot. I am looking to zero at 50 and 100 with the muzzle loader. Planning to break it in and zero it this weekend. Have plenty of time to get in two or three more shooting sessions before Jan hits for deer season. I will have to look for some of the foaming bore cleaner when I get the gun this weekend. I will be sure to mark the rod when I first load it clean to make sure it is more consistent. Just wondering if the "better" barrel is worth the money?
  7. Do you think the up graded barrel is worth the extra money on the cva models? The thumbhole stock is nice also but they run almost $100 more then the standard barrel stock models.
  8. I guess vortex makes some scopes that are in my price range might give them a look.
  9. Not looking for a bigger powered scope like the vortex looking at some 2x7 scopes.
  10. I hunt down in central ohio. When the weather breaks i would do the drive down to shoot. I been looking at a leupold and a nikon scope.
  11. Is it smart to sight it in with a clean barrel every shot? I figure your first shot at a deer will be out of a clean bore, might as well zero it that way.
  12. Picking it up on friday or saturday. Going with the cva optima v2 in stainless with the camo stock. Fin has them for $279, i just have to decide on a scope for it. It comes with fiber optic iron sights and the scope mount, but no scope.
  13. Mines the week before with glasses. Which will be a pain, but not that big of a deal.
  14. My vision is about -3.50 so pretty bad but after my consult the doc was more pumped then i was she said i have a very easy repair and will be blown away by my results. I hope she's right, and it ends up as great as she hopes.
  15. Some insurence covers part. Mine is taking about $800 off of my price. They also offer free 2 year payment plans that's what i'm doing.
  16. Mines gonna be around $3000. With everything included
  17. It aint cheap lol also my present to myself. I dont want to know what there gonna cut and burn or pry open. If i can see when its done its all good.
  18. Im going with lasik customvue. It is a custom map scanned of my eye to give the best results, they say most people end up 20/10 when all healed up. One nurse just got it done said its like seeing in hd now. It will just be nice to see without glasses or contacts.
  19. So going on the 28th to get my eyes done. Who has had it done here, and how did it go.
  20. Was out all day private and public today. Sat from 6-11 in grafton twp, left went to spencer lake from 11:30-2:00 then called it a season. Now on to late season bow and soon muzzle loader.
  21. Most my shots in the last two years have been under 70 yrds i think the standard barrel would be fine for me. The extra money will be put toward my scope.
  22. My luck was crap after monday. I went to private for the first half of today, then went public and stalk hunted. Got a good workout today but saw nothing. Funny when it is 20 out and you are sweating from stalking in heavy brush.
  23. You talking the one with the thumb hole stock and better barrel? Think it was $ 429. I will check when i go up there this week to buy mine.
  24. I heard the same thing about the leave it cold. My camper windows had water on them so it would be bad to keep it in the camper.
  25. Fin has the optima v2 in black for $229, stainless and camo for $279 with the irons and scope mount. Might pick up the stainless one and add a scope to it. Who wants to go shoot this next weekend to help me get this sighted in and show me ropes of muzzle loaders?
