i know i'm digging up an old thread but for some reason my dvr decided it didn't want to record sound anymore so all the race action this week (2wsbk and 4ama) all looks like one of those charli chaplin movies. I was at the ama races but still would like to watch them. Any chances on an invite or are there any other sites out there like it?
i actually enjoyed the ama race more than moto gp at indy. The venue, people, and with paddock passes how close you can get to the bikes/crew is awesome. Definitely going back next year. I watched two races from grandstand 2 so i could see the back straight down turn 7-10. Those guys were so fast its insane. Hearing the tires squealing and seeing them hoping as they went into turn 7. Crazy.
the helmet law is more comparable to the seatbelt law. I'm all for child seats and laws regarding that because a child usualy wont make the right decision but as an adult i should be able to choose wether i do or do not wear a seatbelt. The only way not wearing a seatbelt is going to hurt someone else is if i fly out the windshield and into there car. That being said 99% of the time i do wear one but i should not be ticketed if i get caught that 1%. I get what these guys were trying to do. To bad someone lost there life over it.
i did the whole google search and called a bunch of places but got the same response from a lot of them . I'm afraid jbot is right but was just taking a shot in the dark.
I know someone has been down and have to had there suit repaired. Where have u guys taken it? i've tried a couple dry cleaners/shoe repair places but they say it needs a leather specialist. Plus putting my life in the hands of random old chinese women kinda scare me. Ive heard all about the guy/girl on the wera forum but looking to stay local.
Yes. There are two different areas. One for the buyer and one for the seller. As the seller u are just having it notarized saying that u are selling it. When your buyer goes to the bmv to have it changed over he will sign it in front of them and all bmv title people are notaries. There is no need for your buyer to be present when u have your part notarized.
they are also doing the brc-rr class that's designed for people that know about cycling but need a refresher. It's 9 hours but only one day. U use there bike just like the brc course and you get your certificate at the end. U don't have to go thru as much class time and there not sitting there going this is the brake and this is the clutch. Thats what i did.
I'm pretty sure is a temp u can't ride the freeways either. Guess those would be considered busy roads. Yearly renewals are a big enough pain in the ass.
Yeah i went down. Still not sure on beaver run. It all depends on how long or how much money it costs to get the bike rideable. It would be cheaper to wait and search for used parts or i could just buy new and it cost a ton more. Just have to find a balance between the two.
After my bike's first ride on the crash truck i'm in need of a few parts to get her back up to snuff. right rear set (rear brake side, willing to buy a pair if needed) 03-04 windscreen (05-06 won't fit) the front fairing (nose) possibly rear master cylinder and brake hose. As i dig deeper into the bike i may or may not need more but this stuff is definite.
nelson is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. If your on a budget then it's perfect. Most of the people i know that complain about how bumpy and patchy it is still ride it if that tells u anything.
If that's u in your avatar pic u have 75% of the cost of your first track day covered. Keep it cheap. If u don't have a truck or trailer split gas with someone, get a $20 tent and sleep at the track, pack some water and light snacks. Guarantee u could do a trackday out the door for $250 or less. Now if u get caught (not saying your breaking the law but most Leo may consider u guilty by association) the fines and insurance hike would be wayyy more then that. Plus if the worst was to happen at least at the track u have medical staff at the ready. It looks like u have all the gear. Stop making excuses and bring your ass out to the track.
You cant miss it. If I remember correctly Nelson is the only place you've been. Mid Ohio hosts AMA races so there facilities are great. The entire pit/paddock/garage area is paved so no more worries about the mud. If you plan on bringing your girl almost the entire track is visible from the different spectator areas. It is wayyyy above and beyond what u went thru at Nelson. Also I got a garage if u want to use it as well. As long as u like kids.
