  1. Thank you guys for voting. And Will...you da man. :D I was really pissed off on Friday when I saw that d-bag voting over and over for himself. It just really let me down b/c I was trying to focus on something good on the anniversary of my accident....and then he goes and has to be a dick about it.

Threadjack.... Bkizz: Did the car that caused you wreck last year stop? Or did it leave the scene?

    The car did not stop.

  2. Here's the deal. I am entered in a bike contest and can win $500 if I have the most votes. With my handicapped accessible house going up, I need all the money I can get because I am soon to be BROKE. I think you can only vote once a day. Vote for me!!

On a side note, tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my accident. (But it happened on a Friday...today) It's hard to believe the year has gone by so fast. Although I am happy to see how much I've accomplished, I can't help but think about the what-ifs. Like what would I be doing right now if i were not in this chair? It's still hard for my brain to comprehend this is the way it's going to be for a long time. I guess I gotta keep doing what I've been doing...rollin' with the punches.

  3. I want to go on a ride in the morning really bad...but I can't head all the way out to Coshocton or Hocking since I won't have my wheelchair handy to get off. If any of you guys in the sawmill/270 area want to go on a 30-50ish mile ride around this area and back, let me know.

  4. red light with landing gear up!!

i smell a california stop! lol

Hahaha, yep you are right. It was a glance and go. There was absolutely no traffic so I said screw stopping just to start 2 seconds later.

He used velcro on the soles of his feet instead of the straps to keep his feet in place.

Haha, I have found a million and one good uses for Velcro. I actually use velcro on the soles of my shoes and on the foot plate of my wheelchair to keep them from hopping off. I thought about using in on the bike but changed my mind. It would be pretty hard for me alone to get on and off with my feet velcro'd down...plus that would be a couple broken ankles for sure if anything happens. I like the straps b/c they keep my legs close to the bike. There is enough downward pressure on my feet to keep them on the foot plates.

  5. One of the vendors at bike night last week made this video of me and my bike. They do this "Cool bikes, Cool riders" segment. It was a last minute thing and I didn't really know what to say...I just winged it. I think he did a good job piecing together the video. I thought it was gonna turn out like shit but it actually looks ok! Check it out.

  6. You should go to Quality Window Tint off of Westerville Rd just south of Iron Pony. They have tinted 6 of my cars and a ton of my friend's cars. They do an awesome job and actually remove door panels and center brake lights instead of tinting around them. They also offer a lifetime warranty against bubbling or peeling. They have really good prices too. Just go to them...forget about Ziebart.

  7. Great original post man! I just spent the last 45 minutes looking at it... I recently finished a project myself and know that feeling of accomplishment after a job well done! I saw one of your other posts one time and your signature...almost 200K on a SPORT BIKE?! WTF! Then I saw the Accord's mileage and about dropped a turd in my pants. That's retarded mileage. My buddies '93 accord is still truckin' at 290K and I thought that was a lot. I imagine you've HAD to have replaced some parts over the years but that is still impressive. Congrats!

  8. Well the ride went really well! I felt so normal again. I actually forgot for a second that I was paralyzed. I need to revamp the leg straps I currently have because my butt is moving around a little too much. I got more practice with using the landing gear and shifter. They both work very well. I am contemplating going back to the stock high rise bars so I can get more weight off my arms. I can see myself getting fatigued quickly by supporting my body and using my strength to steer.
