I havent had a custom painted ride for about 4 years now and its been a bit boring. lol I have a guy outta greenville thats gonna hook me up set of factory ram 20's that I am going to base white/orange pearl like the body is.
  9. Got a good start on repainting my pickup...... laid the white base. from the moulding up has a orange pearl overcoat and below is just white. the wood started out given my fits, but I got lucky and it turned out sweet. I'll post pics after I get the work on hood n sides done, along with the work on the topper. Hope to have this thing cleared by this weekend.........
  10. ^thats friggn messed up... lol ...... and yeah, chevy, I did my lid
  11. I have a shinko 777 series 140/70/16 for sale..... wanting $40. tire was mounted on a rim but never made it to the bike... was too tall. never used
  12. i seen that on craigslist the other day...... thats some cool shit
  13. Here ya be........ Dupont- N9520 K. Hot pink. This is in one of their tri-fold color chip folders. it set up together with a basecoat which is a sweet silver metallic(which you wont need). I would lay a deep purple first layer of fire for your back color then go over with a layer of white fire. then go over the white with the hot pink.... its a sweet color and at the edges where its nearest to the black it will give off a slight purple cast. (hence the back color) have fun
  14. You'll like it.......... did a hot pink fire job for my niece not to long ago. does sound kinda blah till ya see it done, turns out sweet. 347, if you need a paint code for a hot pink candy let me know......................
  15. not bad on the fire job...... fire can be a pain to make look right. you succeeded in getting some layering that added depth. thats were many fall short...............
  16. SORRY TO HEAR.......... as a father of a 14 year old I couldn't imagine. Hang in there.... though that aint much help sayn. TAKE CARE
  17. they arent planning a new classes at the jvs right now, but I am looking into doing private ones at my shop. not sure on what I will charge right now cause its a new thing doing it on my own. Probably tryn set it up same as the jvs does......... once a week for 6 weeks and do basic gun control, shape shading and some tricks. I'll eventually work it into a advanced class, but thats a leap. I have enough trouble trying to tell someone how I do the basic stuff. I just dont really think about how I do a lot of stuff......... I just do it. I"ll keep ya posted

  18. Well..... for one you could take and add some detail to what you have from the stencils with just black n white. give it some depth....... you could go crazy and cover that then with a candy and then take the stripes....... turn them either into wood, diamond plate, or (really cool) leather with stitching. just some ideas.......good start though
  19. OH, n swingset........... sick shirt. I admire you guys and the t-shirt work. I cant ever get the paint to cooperate that well and my whites are always washed out. but thats cool, I hate working with water based anyways. lol
  20. I love that stencil set...... gonna probably pick it up myself. keep on fartn around...... thats how things develope. once you have the basic stencil layed out try and take n lay some detail inside that. Thats what they are for is to speed up the design and give you the basic perportions. Have fun with it and make it your own............
  21. thats cool... its a great past time. If you need any tips or help you can PM me...... and yes, I do a beginners AB class here in Piqua a couple times a year. Main thing is have fun with it......
  22. try the stipe.... you'll see the shadow isn't bad. Keep at it and you'll get the hang of it. so many drop it cause they cant seem to get a handle on the control of a airbrush. I have been at it for over 13 years and love it. One major point of advice.... if you are thinking of making it a career keep a real job for as long as you can till your name and rep gets you a real decent client base. the starving artist we get labeled with is for a good reason. Anyway.... heres one that I just did. Like I said, I've came a long way from where I started. good luck
  23. Uh.... I had a guy in my last AB class that said he went to some free stencil thing online. I guess you download/print off a stencil then cut it yourself. I have cut a handful or more of my own skull stencils just so I have my own style. I use, like, half a folder or something stiff like that. they don't hold up to bad.......... and your right. the stencils are pensive. my fire stencils cost me $150
