I doodle........... constantly. It was actually a nickname given to me by the yard foreman where I used to haul lumber out of. I drove semi for about 4 years in the early 90's and there were 5 jims where i worked. so to keep us seperate we got nicknames. mine just kinda stuck...................

From a pro painters point of veiw...... rattle or vynil. Myself personally wouldnt do even a single color set up for less than 500 and thats no frills (sanding, buffing, bodywork) I gotta agree with the other that repairing/painting would be so much easier if its rattle canned and being a track bike your gonna rough it up. The other thing I see that is a down to vynil is if you wreck and damage a fairing. you will have the pain of removing whats left of the vynil before you can even work on it. the speeds you guys run who cares if it looks perfect. (unless you have a sponser that requires a clean look)

Yeah....check out craigslist. Its a ify thing anyway getting a used ride, but you can get lucky sometimes. I picked up a 91 CBR that ran and rides fine. Has some issues but nothing real major..... for $400. Good luck

just my two cents.... go to a john deere dealer (yeah, I said john deere) and grab some flat black. 11 bucks a quart.............. half ass spray it and put it up for sale. easy to spray and hard to fk up. hides many different sins as far as body work. chi-ching

heheheheeheeee, love listening to all this. dont matter to me...... the shoei idea is pretty cool, but the landing gear is really killer for a the plane. black or silver will still do the rivots n plates for the effect. Thats what makes it look like a plane and is sweet. rather do gloss, either black or silver, than flat. Course, he wants a deep look so gloss is gotta be the way to go. plane or shoei..... hhmmmmmmmmmm

Im actually skulling out a boulevard at the shop right now. the next is a R6 that will have a half dozen half naked hotties and fire (done in blue candy). along with a dozen other things............. and rock out my new (old) CBR. And yeah, I already have a fkd up paint scheme figured out for that one. Looks good.... I was going to ask if that was a epoxy primer due to the color. looks like the kind I use....... along the green idea, could do the base color with a satin or flat clear. That way is still has that military feel with the protection of a clear coat. that would be real cool with a number of different "stencils" on it at like the petcock for "fuel" and the circle,bars, and star that was on the tanks n such. would be sweet
