  1. Correct. I was nowhere near Coshocton at the time. My group was only the guys that met up at Iron Pony beforehand.
  2. Perhaps if we built a large wooden badger...
  3. As Zoolander said, I need to tame the beast before I let it out of the cage... :)

I just got the tires and brake pads in today, going to grab some stands and get this stuff mounted. If I can score a brake bleeder somehow tomorrow I should be good, at least for the first wave of parts. Have a front rotor set coming later this week as well as some SS lines, going to do the brakes right. :)

  4. I am Legend was great when it was called 28 Days Later. Check that out, then check back on Legend to see how well it holds up. I am all about Zoolander though. How's about we go a little farther back, Real Genius is the absolute benchmark enginerd movie of all time.
  5. Heh, good luck getting that shit out...
  6. Pretty good. Right shoulder and upper arm is still a little sore, but that's where I hit. Everything else seems to be firing on all cylinders. Thanks for asking.

What's up with you? Haven't seen you in a bit.

  7. Look gang, we can agree that different people learn in different ways. If it suits you to learn riding with a group of more experienced riders, then there isn't anything necessarily wrong with that. Same thing goes for riding with similar experienced people. If you choose one and are wrong, one of two things can happen. One, you get bored with the newbs, make a mental note to go to the experienced group, and go on your way. Two, you overestimate your ability and end up punching out. Take your parts home and evaluate what you've learned.
  8. Now that's just uncalled for.
  9. It might be faster for you to hit up the Valley View QS&L. We're talking about the Columbus QS&L, which is a easy 2 hour ride from where you are.
  10. a SURE thing. Feed him some wings and he's yours forever.
  11. Ah, better days. I'll start lining up shops tonight to get insurance estimates, I'm very much heartened by the fact that engine doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong. At least it'll make one hell of a go-kart (you can't lowside those either)
  12. Sadly, it's true. You get some cager hopped up on painkillers right in front of you, and all the gear in the world won't save you. What it will save is if you are able to swerve in time and dump the bike. Swerve, dump, slide, stand up, it's clobberin' time!
  13. Yep. Start hitting 600rr.net for some good parts deals, it won't take you long to find what you're looking for at a reasonable price. Slap a PCIII on that puppy and you've just laid all the groundwork for tuning.
  14. Big surprise you're all over this... I'm trying to bring a girl friend of mine with me, you could construe this as a date-type thing. Taking her to Kahoots wouldn't rank high on the list of good ideas. Just to be sure I'm going to consult everyone that posted in Anderson's thread to get a good poll going...
  15. I had to wait at least 5 minutes or so until the engine warmed up to the point where I could get a decent power curve. Mine was the exception due to the mods on it, but I gotta think that others have had that problem. With FI it's hop on, start bike, wait 10 seconds or so for things to equalize, then you may start doing extremely stupid things with the throttle.
  16. This race brought to you by.......I can't find it. The hell with it! Summit would LOVE that one.
  17. I was at that race! He biffed the run because he accidentally let go of the fuel button, and immediately copped to it. I gotta tell you though, that announcer dude really annoys the hell out of me. I know he's one of the Bader kids, but jeez, get someone in there with a little skill. Maybe they can borrow Bob Uecker for a few runs.
  18. Top Fuel Dragsters are the only thing faster than Chuck Norris. Ashley Force is the only woman in the world to deny Chuck Norris. She did it by throwing nitromethane on Chuck and lighting him on fire. It is the only time in recorded history that Chuck Norris has ever felt pain. Chuck Norris can catch a fly with chopsticks, but John Force can catch a fly with chopsticks and execute a perfect .5 second reaction time simultaneously. John Force's burnouts cure asthma, pneumonia, and the black lung.
  19. Night Under Fire is this weekend?! My Dad and I usually go, but our schedules butted heads this year. Bob Motz better burn that goddamned sign down this time!
  20. My gesture was meant to be "we're passing this car right the f@&$ now". By the time I made it, you had already figured it out and was in the process of passing me passing the car.
  21. Damn, that ditch looks deep. It took 3 guys to get the Kat out from under the guardrail, it was completely wedged in due to the impact force. Glad to see rider came out fine.
  22. I figured that was you, for some inexplicable reason I never saved your number on my phone. That's been fixed. Thanks a ton for the encouragement everyone. Like I said before, I think my biggest problem was not separating nice country spirited rides like what I went on with SWing'r and Hue from grab-your-balls-and-hold-on-wheee! rides like the more experienced people. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I think I'll stay in the kiddie pool of Columbus/Delaware for a while. Kinda reminds me of Cedar Point, you need to be this tall to ride the Coshocton ride, and I'm still a widdle kid rocking out on the bumper cars (you can't lowside those). It'll happen, but it's not happening tomorrow. Oh yeah, and I scored my first goal of the year just now. It was a beautiful Avery/Brodeur moment, you hardcore hockey fans will know what I'm talking about.
  23. The Katana. While I'm thinking about it, you know anyone that I can borrow some stands from? I have got to get the front and rear wheels off the RR so I can get these tires mounted tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll have it ready for QS&L on Wednesday.
  24. I can't say that enough. The first time I crashed was a lowside slide like this, just at a slower speed. Rash on my knee with just jeans as protectant and a twisted ankle due to low-top sneakers. Now I'm leaving to play a little hockey with almost no pain and absolutely zero skin breakage at all. (my shoulder's a little sore, but that's about it)
