Tracy could be a male name, I'm withholding judgement and leg-humping until I have positive confirmation.

lol at "hungry games" Get her a kindle for christmas, I got one for my GF and she loves it. If she's into that type of thing, try out Game of Thrones. My GF and I just finished watching Seasons 1 and 2, and now she's fucking devouring the books.

Nice, thanks for posting that up.

Seriously? Being a hospital visit away from complete financial ruin is "pretty damn good?" Methinks you and the others wouldn't be singing this tune if it was you or someone close to you.

I'm not taking it personally. What did you expect to happen here by making this thread? You asked for the advice of the people on here. Instead of getting a second set of eyes on your decision, you got four thousand. Did you automatically expect everyone to laud your choice in vehicle purchases? Since you are a "stubborn old guy" who's using outdated information to pass judgement on cars, allow me to dispense some advice that you were asking for earlier on. Hyundai's are MUCH better than they used to in terms of both quality and reliability, and Subaru's are damn near bulletproof provided that you take care of them. However, for the qualifications you have listed (sporty, cheap, reliable), there's a pre-tuned Tiburon, a 2008 Tiburon that still has 5 more years of warranty left on it,, or this 2002 Subaru Impreza. Or you can wrench away on a Pontiac that's known for rampant reliability issues, especially for that time period and ESPECIALLY for the amount of miles it's got on it. Like I said, it's your money, and it's your headache. However, when you ask strangers on the internets for advice, expect to get it and have your pre-concieved notions challenged.

Scored touchdowns so far in 2012-2013: Defense - 1 Offense - 0 Yep, looks like it's the same old same-old from the Browns. I'm glad I switched to the Jets when I did.
-
And you have a valid point there, however I was just illustrating the fact that there are other, more reliable cars out there that just don't have the Pontiac/GM badge on them.

Same here, this ought to be good.

I've seen the Holden Commodore Ute in person, and it's pretty badass. I find it mildly hilarious that the OP is passing judgement on the WRX and EVO without even knowing what the hell they are apart from a Subaru/Mitsu. You understand that there are other car companies that aren't General Motors, right? And that most of them even import to the United States, having infinitely better quality/longevity than a mid/late 2000's GM?

If you're looking for someone to reinforce your decision to buy a 100K miles Pontiac with literally tons of shit wrong/missing, or a 200K Pontiac, I think you're come to the wrong place. I don't care how "handy" you are, unless you've got access to a full shop, wholesale pricing on parts, and a reliable daily driver when that Pontiac is up on the lift, I'd pass on them both and get something that's actually reliable, preferably something that's not made by GM in the last 20 years. I'm sure you'll disregard this as you've disregarded the others in this thread, but it's your money and you're a big boy. I look forward to the thread lamenting the fact that your new-to-you car is in the shop, so I'll just post this in advance.

Nationwide, downtown on Marconi.

Figured you might. Lemme know when/where you want to meet.

Got this from my previous employer and ended up upgrading to a 871 ISR with security (I am a PIX idiot and wanted something with IOS so I can feel smart while studying for my CCNA, one operating system at a time) I still have to completely set up the 871, but I'm positive I'll have a working config on it by this weekend. This does have the security license on it. The only caveat is this thing gets HOT, I'd give it some space to breathe around the rest of your gear. I know there are a few IT drones among us that might want to get their hands on some bonafide internetworking gear, and I have a hard time charging for something I got free anyway.

Hmm, I might be able to sell this as an Ikea trip as well... Subscribing for updates.

Got some appliances that I pulled from the kitchen that need gone. Everything's currently in the garage, so loading should be pretty easy. All appliances are white. Caloric electric range, probably original with the house back in 1994. Elements were recently replaced a year ago but don't sit level, trays need cleaned/replaced and oven area needs cleaned. 220V. $30 Frigidaire dishwasher, my guess is this thing's about 10 years old. Kinda loud, but if you've got a wall between the dishwasher and TV the noise should be pretty OK. No leaks. $50.

And the fact that there are literally thousands if not tens of thousands of these stories makes me even angrier when I hear someone say the people affected were "inept" or that "the market should decide". Dude, I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Those are some of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read on this forum. That level of stupid belongs on freerepublic.

That's it and that's all.

You have a valid point. Who's to blame for the rise of the HMO? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_Maintenance_Organization_Act_of_1973 Interesting. Who was in office and signed that legislation in 1973? Right, Nixon. I appreciate your agreeing that the current state of healthcare in the US is fucked up.

Nope. You want to chip in on this Pyramid of Darkness I'm building? You can be the Destro to my Cobra Commander and get in on the ground floor!

Evangelicals leave less hope for the US.

Planning on going. They are going to have this one outside on Spruce (the "alley" between the North Market and Bar Louie) instead of upstairs, which is totally awesome since it got REALLY claustrophobic up there. They've added a bunch more brewers as well, anyone up for getting a group together?

Reddit r/homebrewing about pissed itself when the recipes were released. The honey was harvested from the hives on the South Lawn, so when you make it I'd invest in some local Ohio honey and not the supermarket bullshits. You can find some easily at a local farmer's market.

I was a HUGE Asus fanboi, and ended up putting a Asus H67 board in my HTPC. So far, no problems. I wanted to build out my gaming PC on a bit of a budget, so I did some research and decided on the ASRock P67 Gen3. So far, it's been stand-up board. I thought the integrated power and reset buttons on the board itself were a excellent touch, especially if you like to bench-test stuff before you throw it in. The only issues I've had with it thus far is sometimes it likes to boot directly to BIOS, but a quick close and reboot later and everything's fine. Ended up buying a ASRock H67 for my parents when I built them a PC, and they have no complaints at all.

I've seen first hand the amount of beer some of these Harley guys will suck down at the bar outside, then hop right on the bike and ride straight past county sheriffs and CPD. I'm surprised something like this didn't happen sooner. I'm willing to bet money he was over the limit.
